The only thing that he received at that higher level of care was having the facility dispense his medication. Within a week of him being there we tried to get them to reduce to a basic level of care. We were told they would reassess him at 30 days. I waited for them to do so and they came back still at the higher level. By this point we felt he could manage his on meds and move to independent care. Which, we were finally able to make a reality by the end of November.
