Would not recommend the Villas, do not have enough info for rating the main building.
When it comes to the care givers, little is done to check on residents in the Villas. With the meals and dining services, it is difficult for Villa residents to enter, lack of parking, convenient access. Little is done to engage residents in the Villas.
Major issues with facilities. Continuous large spread Flooding in garage due to improper grading of driveway/ lawn, water in living room due to pooling water/overflow of gutters. Window with no screen and broken seal took months to fix. Things were not constructed properly so now there are major water issues. Local staff ignored problem for a while and finally realized the severity of the issue, then tried to fix water issues but corporate would not invest in proper fixes/ maintenance.
We have given our move out notice and she is moving to [community name removed]. Already happier with the attention to detail, communication, and quality of facilities at WRMC.

The staff and residents are great. They could improve by hiring more maintenance staff, to allow requests to be handled in a timely manner, especially when residents are paying a significant amount of money per month.

Do not recommend
I would tell others looking into Vitalia Active Adult Community North Royalton to get a lawyer to look into the contract.
The administration needs to be available to discuss any issues.
I would not recommend this facility to other families.

Our Experience
My mom is a current resident at Vitalia Active Adult Community North Royalton. The staff is friendly. The food is good. The Director of nursing is horrible about returning phone calls.
I've heard from other family members you have to watch your bill or they will overcharge you, but I haven't experienced that yet.

Overpromise and Underdeliver
My parent is elderly but able to care for herself. We chose Vitalia because in the initial presentation they convinced her she wouldn’t have to cook or clean anymore. This was becoming very tiring for her in her home. We were also looking for social activities. The cleaning that is done takes less than 10 mins per unit and consists of a spray bottle and rag. I don’t think they have REALLY cleaned the bathroom in over a year. The cook is replaced every 3-4 months. The only upside is socializing which the residents do. Very disappointed.

Vitalia North Royalton was new and shiny but their memory care unit seemed to be lacking attentive care. Questionable meal and care plans. Not a good fit for our needs. We already had negative experiences with new and shiny.

Tour of Vitalia
I toured Vitalia Active Adult Community North Royalton. The person we spoke with was very kind and nice, and the facility was gorgeous. However, I knew she was newer in her role and that reflected in some of the questions I asked her. She was not 100% sure of her answers and it kind of rushed me with the, "is this the right place", type of feeling. We also chose another community because my mom had medical issues and we needed to move her in somewhere ASAP. They were the only one available to accommodate her within a 24 hour turnaround time. It was also the only place she'd actually seen, so she felt more comfortable with that choice. She was unable to tour other places due to medical reasons.

Life Changing
I have already recommended the community to others. This has been life changing for my loved one. My loved one is going to chair exercises and other activities to socialize with other residents. I haven't seen my loved one this active in a while.
There have been times that I have had dinner with my loved one, and the food is fabulous. The Chef, [name removed] is wonderful. The front desk people are fabulous to work with, and accommodating. There is one individual that is attentive and can point me in the direction of where my loved one is every time I visit.

Experience so far is pretty decent
We went with Vitalia Active Adult Community because it is a brand new facility and the location was close by. They just recently opened so they are still ironing some things out which is expected. The food started out really good but in the last few weeks I have been hearing more complaints from my mom. Overall so far is has been a good experience and we would for sure recommend.

Would highly recommend this active community
The people there that run the community are just class act, they are very professional and really do whatever it takes to make your loved one happy and comfortable there. The meal and dining service is very good and they have so many different activities going on. They have exercise classes, outside speakers and different outings. They also have monthly meetings where the encourage the residents to come and bring forth new ideas for them to do.

Our tour with Vitalia was great. The lady who showed us around was so kind and helpful. The facility itself is very nice, it is like a resort. They even have an exercise pool for the residents to use.
