This would be a tough move as she was leaving her home that she shared with her husband for 57 years. After her husband's death, we needed her closer to family and this move to Danbury has been a great decision. The staff is wonderful with her and the nurses and aides are great as she needs assistance with meds. Otherwise, she is independent and can manage everything else on her own. Any time we have a question, we are able to get with the correct person to assist. The location is very nice and directly across from a lake with a walking path as well as walking distance for those who want to get to the grocery store or a little farther walk for a couple restaurants.
