Memory Care room size is generous and they only house about 15-16 people, so there's usually a good staff to senior ratio. Face to face communication with staff is friendly and pleasant, however, after a few months, I've found there is no follow-up to my requests for info and I still have no idea who to contact about his care. There is a social worker available to advocate for the seniors BUT her services are only available to those with standard Medicare (not to people with Medicare Advantage plans) - this was a huge disappointment. My father complains that the food is terrible and he's not interested in the daily activities, which they do provide.

Very pleased with my tour. Facility is nice and clean. All staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. Residents seemed very happy and active. I love the fact there are various types of rooms from studios to 2 bedrooms. Very roomy. Definitely on my top 3 list. Going back Saturday for the open house they are having.

The staff is misleading, they aren't supportive, my contact that I was speaking with before my loved one signed up has since gone mia. She fell and was on the floor for hours before someone came to check on her. I've had to go up there on numerous occasions to help her get dressed for bed.

Our family's experience
There were several caregivers there who were very good about checking on my mother and assisting her with needs, according to her level of care. However, I was not pleased with the lack of attention and timely response to the emergency call pendant system. Because of this we installed a landline phone and put the front desk number as an automatic contact for my mother to get help when needed. There were some communication issues noted when I needed to get in touch with the clinical staff for health problems I recognized with my mother. The activities director tried valiantly to get her to participate even though she continually refused. The OT [name removed] is a huge asset to the facility.

Family experience
We have been happy with all fazes of our experience at Legacy. The staff, nurses and aids have always been polite and helpful. My sister is very private so she didn't enter into any activities. She didn't want to go to dining room to eat, so they brought her meals to her each day. We are leaving Legacy to move to Quillan Manor only because it is so much more convenient for me to visit. I was concerned that the front door wasn't locked like most of the assisted living facilities I had visited.

A Caring Place.
First, they were willing to accommodate my dad's celiac disease. There were only 3 places in the area that would, so that's huge. The staff is very friendly and really interacts with the residents. In the other places we toured, the person giving the tour didn't speak to anyone but us. At Legacy, she greeted everyone and called them by name. That was impressive. They've quickly addressed our concerns as things have popped up. Daddy has been there a year tomorrow and he enjoys being there.

A wise choice for our family
My husband and I are very confident with our choice at the Legacy. The staff is friendly and informative about most of what you need to know. We were new to this so we did not always know what to ask. We had to put a relative into memory care. Our relative has a hard time sometimes knowing that there are choices for dinner. She did not understand to use the hamper and her clothes were going to be washed by the staff. Things like that need to be explained over and over again. We don't always know if it is our relative or they did not tell her. When we were looking I used their ladies room. I got to walk around even before the tour. Everywhere was clean. No funny smells. Everyone seemed happy-staff and clients. People were smiling. No one was just sitting in a corner being ignored.

They move residents to memory care without families approval. Happened to several while we were there. The rates doubled and you are responsible. Their 3 rd shift is in supervised and bad things happen. They will let residents go without eating if for some reason they can not eat. And knowing they can't do it themselves. I would rather just end it at that. We lost my mom on Valentine's Day and just going back thru thinking it makes my heart hurt. Adjust a very terrible experience. Moved her there in March 2024 very alert and knowing times from one month later her so doped up and hardly ever understood her since.

Caring place for memory care
Place for Mom gave us a list to check out. We researched four places. PFM would make an appointment, give us advice before going, and asked what we thought after our visit. Everything they said rang true. At the Legacy the staff is very friendly. The facility is clean. There were no odors even though I stopped by several times during the week unannounced. The food looked similar to what I would cook. Once a week Laundry, sheets, room is cleaned. Laundry is done individually - not mixed in with others. The rooms are spacious and the windows let in much light. We are pleased in the care our relative is receiving. Staff is available to answer questions We are pleased we chose The Legacy.

Very friendly staff and helpful has treated my mom with love and care and would recommend taking a tour of this facility. Staff and aides have been very helpful in extending extra care for my mom. Physical therapy deserves praise also n helping my mom. They have off campus activities such as taking residents shopping and other appointments as needed.

I'm saying 5 across the board...they we're truly wonderful and worth every penny. Beautiful and clean facility. Welcoming and friendly staff. Rooms are large and fit 2 residents with plenty of space Amenities is a little hard for me to say since my mother wasn't very active but they did paint her nails and I saw other art projects in the hall They also get all the residents out of their rooms and into the common areas

They are the most sweetest staff you will ever meet I mean I could call anytime or day and they handle anything super efficient they jump on a problem right away I can't say one thing wrong you could talk to them about anything best choice I could have made. Food is ok they make weird dishes sometimes people old they want plain food and they run out of stuff a lot coffee milk bread but it was I think cause there cooks kept quitting they had a guy [name removed] who was awesome but before him yuck and then he left so it will work itself out
