I would definitely recommend this place for your loved mom or dad
They were sold about a month or so ago, and now they're Villa Palazzo. I think everything is really well done here. They take care of the residents very well. If I were rating everything overall, I would say it's a 5/5. There is only one area I would have any concern or complaint about, and this is maybe due to the changeover - and that is lack of communication about what the facility is doing. With Covid, you like to know what you can do and what you can't do, and what are they planning on doing. Just any correspondence as to where they are and where they're headed. For instance, can family members go in to see the residents? How many? How often? But the staff are great - every interaction I've had with has been excellent.

I was told that there would be someone that understands the VA benefits and there was not. The staff is friendly and nice and I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

Don't go there
I met my loved one outside of the facility a couple of times at doctor appointments, and her fingernails were filthy. She didn't look like she's had her hair brushed or that she had been bathed recently. So I don't think that they're taking good care of the residents in that area. The people there are very friendly. But the thing is, you can't go by that. And during Covid, you can't go in there to see what's happening. My loved one ended up in the hospital with a health condition I feel was related to these poor hygiene conditions. And she ended up passing away. I wouldn't advise using Sandy Springs Place. They do have new owners, but we called to tell them about her uncleanliness during her time there, and they never called us back.
