She has mild dementia but does not need memory care yet, so I was able to stay with her for 3 days to show her around and help her acclimate to her new environment. During that time, I participated in meals, activities, walks, and medication administration; I interacted with the residents and staff (day and night) numerous times daily, and slept there overnight. Addington is beautiful and the staff was so friendly. My mother is in a little apartment with a small living room, kitchenette, patio, and separate bedroom for the same cost as studios at other facilities. The apartment setup feels way more like a little home which is so nice. The food was good and the place was quiet, clean, and relaxing. The indoor layout is simple and large enough for my mother to get her exercise walking inside which I really appreciate for safety. Most importantly, the staff and director are genuinely kind and caring people, I am so grateful for that as I don't worry about my mother at this facility. She is still happy 3 months later, no complaints.
