A beautiful community
Brandywine Living community itself is vey clean but there could be more house keeping within the apartments - maybe even just twice a week would make a difference. It is a pet friendly community and they have a nice dog park area which is one of the reasons we picked this community. Also the apartments were bigger then other apartments we saw at different communities. Our loved one have done a few activities but their dog keeps them pretty busy so they haven't taken advantage of a ton but from what we have seen they look really good. They absolutely loves the meals. What came to a surprise for us is that it seems we have to advocate for our loved ones just a little more then what we thought - it seems we are having to be more reactive instead of proactive.

Outstanding Beautiful Community!
I recently toured Elance at West End while searching for a place for my sister, and I was thoroughly impressed. The community is exceptionally clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. During my tour, almost every staff member I encountered greeted me, which made the experience feel very warm and inviting.
What stood out to me the most was their robust activity calendar, which I think my sister would really enjoy. I also love that they offer lifelong learning classes that are open to everyone for free—such a great initiative!
Although my sister isn't quite ready to move in yet, Elance at West End is definitely at the top of my list. A special shoutout to the lovely lady who conducted my tour; she made the experience even more enjoyable.

Outstanding Community!!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Elance at West End and I am thoroughly impressed. The staff here is incredibly caring and attentive to the residents' needs. They truly go above and beyond to cater to the residents' best interests.
The housekeeping department does an outstanding job, keeping the building spotless at all times. Their attention to detail is evident in every corner of the community.
I cannot speak highly enough about the food. I was invited to a special event, and the meal was absolutely delicious! The culinary team truly knows how to create memorable dining experiences.
Overall, I highly recommend Elance at West End. It's a community where the residents' well-being is clearly a top priority, and the quality of service is exceptional.

Outstanding community!
Elance at West End has the kindest and most welcoming staff. Everyone makes you feel right at home. So far, this is the best community I have toured. They have a beautiful terrace, spacious apartments, and a robust activity calendar for all levels of care. Employees stuff this ballot with fake reviews!
This place was unquestionably a 4.5-5.0 star classy operation when it was run by Brandywine. Alas, RUI, Inc. took over a little more than a year ago and absolutely everything has abysmally deteriorated into the current [swear word removed] it is, with minimal care and accountability, inedible food, constant lying/cheating on invoices, rude and unprofessional management, and soaring prices. Stay clear of here for the sake of your loved ones. Simply abhorrent!!!

Brandywine provides all of the above (activities, cleanliness, housekeeping, etc). The individual we worked with as we made our decision was thoroughly informative and great to work with. I would definitely recommend to others. My brother in law will move his mother to Brandywine this month and I have recommended to others.

Definitely worth a good look
I think the warmth and caring exhibited by the staff is what sticks out the most about Brandywine Living. The reflections unit is the one for memory care. They have 6 floors, 4 for assisted living and 2 for memory care. I would certainly recommend the facility to others. I think all facilities should be measured against Brandywine, we looked at many other facilities and came back to this one.

Nice Respite
Brandywine is a fine place with very attentive staff. It's clean, well maintained and has many amenities. Love the aquarium bar and the roof top lounge. The pool could be bigger but appropriate for its residents.
We would consider a permanent stay if needed.

Depends which floor you live on
Depends which floor you live on for quality of care. My mother does not live on the most expensive floor. My mother's care has been inadequate. Have to constantly followup for all aspects of her care. Staff do bare minimum as far as her daily care. Unable to track who cared for her on a specific date because they rotate staff so much. The carpet in her space needs to be replaced, looks spotted soiled with dirt even though they have cleaned it. The decor throughout the building is attractive, but her personal space is basic and nothing to write home about. The water faucets in her space often stop working. She's not in memory care but I did see it on my tour. I was not impressed Very small space, they are crunched in the hallway during the day. There's a handful of staff spread out among the departments that go beyond and above basic care which would equate to their motto of excellence if most of their staff did the same.

Walking into Brandywine Living was like I was walking into The Biltmore Hotel. But I didn't like that the memory care unit was on a higher floor, and the outdoor space for the unit was just a small concrete pad with planters. Based on the cost, I’m sure their care was good. But they certainly seemed like they were more geared toward outward appearances, and the staff were less friendly than at other places I toured. I would not have placed my family member there. It was beautiful - it was the most lavish place I saw, but that wasn’t what my family member needed. Memory care seemed secondary. For assisted living, if you can afford it, I think it could be a great place.

Highly recommend
Everybody was always so friendly, from the person at the front door to the nurse that was helping out they were amazing. My dad did go into hospice and they were able to provide that here and step up the nursing care so he was able to stay in his room which was wonderful so we did not have to find another place to live. I would absolutely recommend this facility to other families

Friendly, Caring Staff and Everything Works
The community is very friendly. There is a physician assistant that my loved one sees, we were under the impression it was a doctor that would be seeing my loved one on a regular basis. It would have been nice to know this upfront.
The CNAs are on the ball and can get a print out of the medications of my loved one. Anytime I call they are able to assist me in answering my questions.
The front desk staff is willing to try to solve any issues that arise as well.
The food is good, dining room is beautiful, and they have been willing to try and bring meals to my loved one's room to assist with their transition into the community. There has been sometimes that I've had to remind them of my loved one's dietary restrictions.
There are plenty of activities for the residents to choose from. There are some games, outings, as well as music, and activities to assist with mindfulness.

Coming home
We chose Brandywine Living because my mom is very particular and this place is a step above the other places that we looked into. You walk in and feel like you are in a hotel, it is not institutional at all. My mom is in a 1 bedroom (550 sq ft) and it has been adequate for her needs. The food is my moms favorite part of the facility. They have chefs on site who prepare all the meals and they are made from scratch. I am excited for her to be able to get out and do some of the activities that they were able to provide before covid. I would most certainly recommend if you can afford it.

Beautiful Community!
Such a beautiful community in a great location! The amenities and customer service are above and beyond! Brandywine provides excellent care to their residents and the fact that they have 24hr nursing on site is an added bonus! Was very impressed when I visited this community!
