I recently visited a family member at this facility and was pleasantly surprised by her apartment and the lunch we had. I feel confident she is getting good care when she needs it and she is very happy there. She has connected with some old classmates which was sweet to see.
About the facility Courtyard at Fitchburg
The Courtyard at Fitchburg consists of two stand-alone communities on our campus. A CBRF Assisted Living and a Memory care.
The communities have towering windows overlooking McKee Farms Park which give our residents spectacular nature views and a place to safely take walks.
Our memory care community consists of 36 suites with private bathrooms, refrigerator and large windows. Common space is abundant with a main lobby fireplace, two large living rooms with fireplaces, an activities room, large dining room and private dining room plus three spacious outdoor patios overlooking the park. There is even a spa where you can relax and take a soothing whirlpool bath or get pampered in our salon.
Our CBRF assisted living community consists of 72 apartment homes which include one bedrooms, double suites, deluxe studios and standard studios. Common spaces include libraries, living rooms, dining rooms, private dining rooms, activity rooms, theatre, five patios/balconies, spa and salon.
Three meals daily are included, and our on-site chef and dining staff serve delectable meals with alternative selections available for both assisted living and memory care.
Our life enrichment director hosts 5 to 7 activities daily. There is always something to...

Was looking for assisted living for a loved one and toured Courtyard because it's nearby. The team there is great. They're compassionate, they take their time with the residents, and you really get the sense that they care for every one of them. The community itself presents really well: clean, nicely decorated, everything is kept up. The memory care (which is what I was looking at) is well laid-out. I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

You can tell there’s a lot here for residents to enjoy, and it felt like a place where people are genuinely cared for. I left with a very positive impression and would absolutely recommend taking a tour if you’re exploring options for yourself or a loved one.

No response to my phone call or text
I called The Courtyard in March 2024 when it looked like my mom would need to go into memory care. I spoke with the director of marketing and sales. She seemed concerned. I told her about my mom and she told me they would have a nurse go out to the hospital and assess her the following day. I waited to hear from the Courtyard to see how the assessment went and ended up calling them 2 days later because I hadn’t heard. She told me then that my mom would not be accepted because she was in a posey bed and her behavior was aggressive. Thanks for not calling and letting me know! The next day I find out the hospital that she is out of the posey bed and she is acting normally again. I text the woman and tell her that my mom has snapped out of whatever it was and that she is herself again and if they would go out and reassess her. I heard nothing. Two days later I call and leave a voice mail with her and ask the same thing and receive no call back, no text, no email, nothing in response.
