She wears compression socks and needs them on before breakfast, she missed breakfast twice because they didn't get to her on time. Overall it is a good experience with some hiccups. We installed a camera in the apartment because people kept leaving her door unlocked. After two weeks with the camera, that has only happened once. There are of course things they could do better but we are pleased in general. My mother does complain a lot about things but she seems to be doing better. She does have high standards but for the price the standards should be high. I took them to visit a couple of places. Only the Windsor felt like home. It was a terrifying time. As we settled mom and dad into their apartment, the staff was there to meet them, take over administering their meds, and begin their care. My parents' health improved and they enjoyed another 3.5 years at the Windsor. Even through Covid. I am convinced that the care of the staff extended their lives. They were family. When my father was in hospice 45 minutes away, staff visited him. When my mother was in hospice care at the Windsor, there was always someone with her. When she passed, Windsor staff was at her memorial to share memorial. They were there for all of us. The entire facility is clean and cheerful. There are daily activities offered and occasional field trips. If needed, the transition from the assisted living to memory care is smooth since the staff are already familiar to the resident. Once transferred into memory care (Reflections) the resident is more closely supervised; dressing, bathing and eating are assisted if needed. Residents are encouraged to participate in group activities. Meals are served in the dining room. My loved one found all her needs were met in both units of the Windsor.
