Harbor Chase had space available at the time we needed it. If asked, staff at HC is very nice and caring. It's clean and for us it's in a convenient location. I would recommend to others and it really helps that Physical Therapy is on site.

Waste of money...

My dad has now lived at Harborchase of Gainesville for over 3 years (since April 2020). I have repeatedly addressed continuing problems with administration staff in regard to his care services, that he is paying for as contracted, NOT being provided properly and consistently. I have been given many excuses for not providing his care service assistance and I have been given promises to correct the problems, but the same ones continue unresolved. I even have a video camera in his room so I can monitor his care regularly.
IF YOU ARE EXPECTING YOUR LOVED ONE TO BE CARED FOR AS SPECIFIED IN THE CONTRACT AND "PLAN OF CARE", then go somewhere else.
I have talked to other families who move their loved one after complaining many times. This just seems to perpetuate poor business practices and does not hold them accountable.

First class care ??
Last January 2020, HarborChase welcomed my mom into the memory care unit after a week long hospital stay. Under the new administration, the care was excellent throughout Covid and beyond to my mom's recent peaceful hospice passing (of natural causes). Many thanks to [names removed] for the special care. And all the recent renovations are looking great, too! First class all the way.??

Would not recommend memory care
When we go visit my mom her room needed cleaning, and we would have to call someone to come clean it. The staff was friendly but this community is very expensive. She got better care when hospice came in. The pretty was adequate. The community looked great as well. However we did feel they were under staffed in the memory care unit. There was not a director assigned to the memory care unit, so there was only one nurse supervising all the residents in that unit

Could not be more pleased with the care my mom is getting at Harbor Chase.
She transferred from another facility and had no problem settling in.
The staff is very warm, attentive, friendly and caring.
At this crazy time of restrictions and anxiety for all, Harbor Chase has gone a step above keeping family informed and the residents busy.

Great care will cost you.
Not that I really mind this - we are all in for the sake of our loved one, but the ill coordination of the multiple changes in medications may drive me nuts and nickle and dime us to death. Only knowledge of the staff's genuine care for the health of our loved one makes it tolerable.
