As an example, a menu is given to the residents for all meals. The food is very good. As the staff gets to know each resident's likes and dislikes, they automatically will ask if they want certain things. They have meetings to see if the residents would like something in the menu they haven't been getting, and then actually serve it. My brother-in-law had some mental disabilities and they were great with him. Truly the first time in his life, he'd ever had friends. Unfortunately he was there only 6 months. He passed away 6 months to the day that he moved in. I have nothing but good to say about the place. He was so happy there. ","reviewContent":"First thing I noticed on the day I toured, was all staff seemed to know the names of every resident they came in contact with. \nThey work to have an idea of the resident's personality and meet them where they are. My brother-in-law has organic brain syndrome and can be a bit much at times. They are so wonderful with him. They really take the time to get to know who he is and treat him with compassion, and dignity. This is truly the first time in his life he has felt part of anything, especially a community of people.\nThey have monthly family dinner nights with live music. They do an amazing job with that. The food is very good. My brother-in-law gained 10 lbs in 3 weeks. Mostly because it's the first time in his life everything he eats isn't controlled by someone else. \nThe facility is very clean. I know what I'm talking about because before looking for a place for my brother-in-law or even knowing I'd even need to, I was a nurse and have been in most ALF's and nursing homes in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. \nThey are excellent at keeping you informed. An example is, today I received an email stating they have 3 residents with confirmed Covid. The residents are quarantined in their rooms, and the facility has canceled family night this week. They also have PT on site, so if a resident needs PT, they don't need to go anywhere. I truly have nothing negative to say.
