There's currently no director, they haven't found an appropriate suitor since the last one left in February and none of this was informed to the residents or their families. Rent and all of their services increase in less than transparent ways through for example a points system for those in assisted living. They rearranged the system so all residents in assisted would go up one level. The cleaning is less than acceptable. I've had to make note of this multiple times and it's still not good. The care staff is very friendly and probably the best thing about the Piedmont. We're only staying with this choice because of the location (it's by my house) and because the care staff is really good. If you had asked me last year, I'd say the Piedmont was great with the exception of transportation which would always have issues (forgetting to pick up residents etc). Now I'd say, it's ok but not for the price. If the quality keeps going down it'll definitely not be worth staying. They missed an exceptional director and it shows. The Piedmont has a welcoming feel to it. We know mom will feel welcomed and safe. Taking care of the elderly takes a lot of compassion and patience and it's there.
