I had reached out to 3 facilities a week or so before, knowing the time was coming, but knowing it would come so fast. The staff[names removed] in particular, bent over backwards to get mom placed in their facility and to work through the logistics with me. They put mom in a furnished, temporary room that they normally use for respite care while I had things moved in and set up. They were there for me with answers to every question: medical, financial, emotional, etc. I will forever be indebted to them as this was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. The staff seems to genuinely care about mom and care for her. I do think there are times that among the staff, which can be frustrating. My mother loves her room. She is enjoying the activities. The only problem we seem to have is medical. It took awhile to get her medicine straightened out. Then they would come very early in the am and late at night with her meds and wake her up. She just came down with Covid, they said they would get her medicine for it and order an x-ray as she has COPD. She never got the x-ray and she didn't get the medicine until 3 days later.
