The Soup!
I love the soup—I've never had a bad cup. I have privacy and can also get out to do things if I want. Meals are fantastic and the staff treat me like a king—truly a family.

The Best Caregivers
The caregivers are the best and I'm thankful for all they do. Kitchen staff is also excellent, they treat me like I matter. I love getting my hair done every week at the salon. We have fun!

Smiles
Moving from home is an adjustment. Everyone is very friendly. I love the entertainement. There are so many activities, some for everyone. A smile goes a long way and I get many.

Glad We're Here
I love not having to cook and the servers are super. We've made friends here that have become family. We really like the exercise classed and the equipment is great. We also really enjoy the music. There is so much to do.

Making a new place feel like home
My husband moved to Storypoint Portage and it has been a very good experience. Leaving a home is always a hard thing but everyone at Storypoint is working hard to make a new apartment feel like home. Caregivers are exceptional and the staff is very supportive in regards to medical care and life enrichment activities. It is amazing how quickly they learned both my husband‘s name and my name in every department of the facility. It feels like we belong and are appreciated and our loved.
I highly recommend Storypoint Portage!

My sister moved into story point after the passing of her husband and has received quality supportive services to meet her needs at StoryPoint. She relocated there after living in a beautiful home for over 25 years and to see that she has been more motivated and independent since being at StoryPoint . Thank you To the administrative staff and the caregiving staff She has her smile back.

My parents have lived at StoryPoint for two years. Happy with my choice
This is a large, well appointed community with a mixed population ranging from independent to assisted to memory care. Those who are able, or choose to, have many opportunities to engage in daily enrichment.
I made this choice for my wife after a detailed search and facility visits within a certain traveling radius.
I am happy with my choice.

Nice place to live
Lots of activities--optional to partake in them.
Not enough closet space or storage space for clothing.
Many residents in good health who enjoy the activities.
We would meet more people if we changed tables for dinner occasionally.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
I like the fact that they will give us a ride to the grocery store and doctor.
I also like that we can keep our car if we want to.
I like their Holiday buffets and happy hours.

Experience Confirms it was the Right Choice
The facility is great. High ceilings and a lot of natural light. The staff is warm and friendly and even staff in other parts of the building greet you by name. The director is not near as friendly and her predecessor set a high bar which she has not been able to replicate. All other team leadership is great and the Memory Care Team is excellent and responds to any concerns positively.

Everything we were looking for
When my folks were looking for a place to move after living in the same home for almost 60 years I started to do a great deal of research on assisted living homes in our area. I wanted a place that let my folks live in an apartment that was a home. I wanted a place where they were treated with dignity and respect. I was also looking for a place where they would stay in the same room as they needed additional care. Storypoint has exceeded my hopes. The staff has gone above and beyond in the care they provide. They remembered the little thing and stop and talk to the residents. Storypoint has activities that create opportunities to meet new people and create memories. When my father was having a difficult time and requiring more time and care it just happened. People were there to help when and as he needed it. I could not have found a better match for my folks and I am great they were there when we needed them.

Evil and Cruel
dad was placed there . first week was ok. then they wanted to commit dad to psych ward because of wandering and confusion. they called 911 and took him to emergency room without informing our family. Hospital released him because there was no reason for him to be there. Storypoint is understaffed , will not talk to our family regarding a care plan or where to place him and will not let him out of a year lease. I am out of state living this horrible nightmare relying on friends to help out.
