The staff are all so very friendly from housekeeping, maintenance, front door staff, to direct patient care; they all went out of their way to help mom as well as family to settle in; they addressed her by her name immediately; always greet me when I am there; they are so helpful with any needs. My mom states she loves the food; dining staff are all friendly and attentive. My mom does not really participate in activities; but I know they are happening all throughout the day; she does go down to the weekly beauty shop to get her hair done. The one thing I didn't love, they hired someone who was not great at redirecting folks in memory care. And after year of my mother being fine with every other worker, she started becoming aggressive with this one worker. When it was raised as a problem I spoke to the director about whether that person was on the right floor in memory care and she assured me that this person was well trained. However my mother became aggressive towards her and was kicked out of the facility. When we went to collect her things some of the other workers told me exactly what I had thought that this woman was trying to force my mother to do things she didn't want to do and was not well trained at guiding someone versus demanding for patients and memory care. Honestly, I wish we could take my mother back there.
