Amazing environment!
I can’t say enough good things about my dad’s experience at Sodalis. From the moment he moved in, it was clear this place is truly something special. The staff members are kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making residents feel at home. They take the time to learn each person’s interests, personalities, and stories, ensuring everyone feels respected and valued.
With recent management changes, the community itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Knowing there’s a skilled medical team on-site gives our family great peace of mind. Communication with us is always open and honest; we receive regular updates and know we can reach out with questions any time.
Simply put, Sodalis has been a true gift for our family. It’s given my dad not just care and support, but a genuine sense of belonging. I highly recommend it.

Highly recommend
The activity director and assistant do a fabulous job with decorating. These ladies have many activities for all residents each day. Many people enjoy them and participate.
The staff are making things better all the time. Kristi has been onboard a short time and she is doing a great job.
The staff are so friendly and nice. They are very caring to Mother and she really likes all of her people that help her.
We are very satisfied with Sodalis.

Experience with Sodalis
The experience I've had with Sodalis in taking care of my mother has been very positive. There have been bumps along the way, but I recognize that life's experiences can be struggles at times. Having said this I believe that Sodalis has responded in positive ways to ensure that the care of its residents is and will continue to be its focus.
Very pleased with the management and care-workers that have been tasked with one of the most challenging responsibilities that is involved with caring for our elderly family members.
I thank you and appreciate everything you do in this most important efforts.

Great facility
My mom has been in sodalis for 3 years. She loves the facility. The staff try hard to help residents in any matter needed. All facilities are not perfect and neither is sodalis, but they try their very best to solve any problems in a reasonable time. The activities are superb. Mom very rarely gets bored. Always something going on. The food has its ups and Downs, but over all the new food supervisor "[name removed]" is willing to listen to any complaints and does everything she can to improve it. [name removed] the nurse is a good getter. There is nothing she won't do. Your family is first for her. [name removed] the director is awesome. She is always ready to help or talk to any family about anything they need. Overall sodalis is a wonderful place for my mom. Thank you to all the staff that go above and beyond to help my mom and me.

Not what I expected
You always hear the horror stories about assisted living/nursing homes.... Well this is not one of them.
I have been very happy with the service offered and treatment given. I expected my aunt to just reside here and to be a loner of sorts but to my surprise she has become a social butterfly. She enjoys anything and everything they offer and her quality of life is so much better than when she lived alone.
Much prayer went into this decision and Gods hands are there everyday guiding her with all the great people of Sodalis.

Very nice facility
Staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always keeping us up to date and in the loop with what is going on with our loved one.
The rooms are nice, they do offer private and semi-private.

Disappointed in the level of care and service at this facility
The facility has been going through a lot of upheaval and I am not satisfied with the way that they have been handling my mom or the amenities that are offered there
Significant staff turnover problems when residents are ill
Non-notification when someone has covid
Need to offer more fresh food, consistent Cooks presentation and taste
I'm just really unhappy with the place right now but also need to think about whether I can move my mom or not

What An AMAZING Tour
Where should I start as soon as I walked in the building the residence were very friendly and welcoming. The sales manager [name removed] was great. The layout was shocking because it looked Smaller on the outside, but very spacious with the feeling your home. I loved the bistro the Big outside sitting/garden area. The resident were all super happy and friendly as well as their staff members. One resident even spoke of how she loved being there that the resident and especially the staff were her family and they always had great things planned for them and it was always something new and exciting. [name removed] was very helpful answered all the questions I had even invited me and my family to an event so we could experience Sodalis living. The rooms were great. The pricing was as well. I definitely will be following up once. Mom decides exactly what she wants to do. Thank you to the whole team there at Sodalis Texas City for a welcoming, and home away from home experience.

Mom is very happy with her new home
The director [name removed] is very friendly, outgoing and caring with all the clients.
If there is any problem at all she is quick to resolve it.
[name removed] always has plenty of activities and goes all out with decorating for every holiday. Mom enjoys the outings to Walmart, $ Store, and out to eat.
Just about every holiday major or small there is an event that the family can join in.
Mom's care is now with hospice at Sodalis, but the nurse [name removed] is very accommodating and helpful.
Overall mom is very happy and calls her apartment with a small efficiency kitchen HOME ! She feels loved and has made some really good friends. Her only complaint is the food.

Great Place for my mom
My family & I chose Sodalis TC because it is close to home but when we walked in, the friendly, welcoming atmosphere sealed the deal for us. The place was clean, everyone spoke to you, not just the staff but the residents also. SInce being there from Oct. 2023, they celebrate many holidays and special occasions. Welcome families to join in the celebrations. Exec Director, [name removed], is on top of things. Any concerns we've had or she has had, she contacts us immediately. My mother loves everyone that works there.

I would recommend this facility for my family members.
The staff is very friendly is a major positive. Both to us, my mother, and when dealing with other tenants that we've experienced. They could use some additional staff coverage over the weekends.
My mother says that the food served is average, but whenever I go to visit, it looks and smells really good!
I would recommend Sodalis Texas City to my friends and family.

Amazing Tour
Hello,
I just wanted to say I recently toured the place and I was thoroughly amazed. [name removed] was absolutely wonderful, so sweet and friendly. I loved that the community was very clean, smelled good and that the staff introduced themselves as we walked through the building. I loved how the rooms were addressed as apartments instead of just regular rooms . I was shown a deluxe studio and it was nice size and affordable. Sodalis is on the top of our list for as [name removed] say my father forever home!

A Place for Mom was very helpful in recommendingSodalis. [name removed] was great with the tour and information. The recent remodel of the building and all the activities for the residents is a big reason why I choose Sodalis for my mom. I like how they refer to the residents room as an apartment and also has a kitchenette in the room. The pricing is very reasonable and less than most facilities I have checked on. I think my mom will be very happy here.
