Needs More Structure
Place is small and in the country. I toured the facility. I saw this as a community that was trying to connect with the family but it lacked manger experience. The staff was a bit on the unprofessional side and the manager seemed to have no clue. Did not have a place of business feel. Seemed to be alot of patch work among the staff as a whole. Overall If your on a budget then this is a an ok fit. The staff along with management was helpful but I felt more like I was watching reality TV as management was having a hard time for giving me answers. I feel presentation goes a long way and and the scenery was about the best of it. I saw very little professionalism even with conversation. I will say facility was clean and the residents where to themselves.

The Right Place for my Mom
Silver Creek is a small facility located outside of the city. My Mother had lived in a small town for the last 45 years, so it was very important to me that the facility is down a country road and surrounded by open fields. The building is kept very clean, the workers are attentive and helpful, and the grounds are always maintained at a professional level.
The main thing I like about the place is that the residents are not left alone for extended periods of time. If a resident is in their room, a member of the staff will be popping in and out to be sure that all is well.
I would be more than happy to recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a place for mom, dad, or both.

It's going okay.
My wife has been at Silver Creek for a couple of months and things have been okay. I was hoping they would do more with the residents to get them moving but most of the time they are either sleeping or watching tv. There's not much else to them to do so i would not say I'd recommend unless the resident isn't high functioning.

Very nice place!
They do a great job at Silver Creek, they've been taking wonderful care of my loved one. It's a smaller place, so the residents get a lot of individual attention from the staff. The people who work here are kind and caring, and really take a lot of time with each individual resident. They also do a great job with the food! They serve 3 meals a day with some snacks inbetween, and the food is excellent! We toured quite a lot of places in our search, and we knew within a few minutes of seeing it that this was the one for us.

I would recommend Silver Creek Assisted Living to other families looking for quality care for their love ones.
My mother has been at Silver Creek Assisted Living in Azle for a year. She calls it home. She is very happy there. She has made friends and is very well cared for.
I have never been there that the staff do not greet me with where mom is and how she is doing that particular day.
She is always clean and her room always looks nice and smells nice.
The appearance of the facility is always above and beyond acceptable . The smell of the facility is good.
The food always looks appetizing and is prepared fresh daily/.
The staff are loving caring people who make mom feel at home.

Could potentially be a good place
I don't really know about the care, they don't have an activities director and they may not have enough staff and I think my mother in law was allowed to sit around a lot and that's not what she's used to but they're good about bathing her and taking care of her.
I think they're running that place on a shoestring, but I don't know. They say they have activities but I haven't seen any, they're food looks kind of like frozen mush and the staff that does everything does all the cooking too. All of these places are overpriced, but compared to other ones I'd say they're reasonable. It's small and it's close to my house so there's a lot of good things about it, it could be a good place.
