I also needed a respite from being his caregiver. Our daughter visited over half the facilities around here & we decided on Rockbridge Oaks. It was a great decision. The staff are friendly & welcoming. The facilities are very nice. One big plus is the meals. They have an anytime menu from 7:00am - 7:00 pm with specials for the 3 main meals which is very nice, but what makes it special is what they do for me. I have a gluten intolerance & they make accommodations for me. I bring in gluten-free bread, pasta, etc. and when I want a sandwich or the special contains something I can't eat, they substitute mine with the gluten- free alternative. When we had Beef Stroganoff the chef substituted my pasta & fixed a special gravy for me. It was delicious. This is just 1 example of how they make us feel at home.
