Safe and caring community that we would definitely recommend.
From the initial visit, back in July, through moving in day [date removed] until now we are extremely pleased. The director, nursing staff, everyone has been terrific. She has her meds managed by [name removed] and has additional care such as redirecting, reminding etc. As needed. My Mother-in-law has adjusted well and we are all very relieved she is in a safe and caring place. She is in the Assisted Living area in a studio apartment.

Mira Vie Brookfield offers three different levels of senior living: concierge level of living, assisted living, and Country Cottage, in private and semi-private apartments. New ownership made it Not a good place for Mom
We moved Mom into [community removed], where she was very happy and well cared for.
Distinctive living bought Chelsea and changed it to Mira Vie.
The problems began shortly after they took over. Unfortunately they did not take into consideration this was a memory care facility not Senior Living. Complaints about how nasty and greasy the food was, scrambled eggs were greasy and nasty, her Ginger Ale, when available tasted watered down.
Representatives went in the seniors rooms while they were at lunch "to take measurements" without first notifying the families or the residents, leaving closet doors opened and things moved. Upsetting a whole wing of people.
With this just the beginning of her complaints. Mom's became agitated and we noticed she was becoming more confused, to the point she told us she wanted Out of this prison NOW.
We moved Mom out of there in July. We don't know what Mira Vie's intentions were, but the went about it the wrong way.
With that being said, we were not pleased with the live meet and greet over the internet they did for residence families, it was more like a "Look who we are" and gave most of the people online with them the impression they cared more about their image then the Seniors they claimed to care for. So, we have nothing good to say about Moms experience or ours.

Friendly atmosphere, needs a little TLC.
Facility is nice but needs updating. Especially in the dining room area.
Staff is very friendly but not real responsive in answering questions.
Especially for families who live out of the area.

Family experience
The ratings speak for themselves. When it comes to the meals and dining service that however is average at best. Some of the items are mush - just awful! What we like the most about the community is the staff. The staff members are very friendly and genuinely cares about its residents.

our families experience
{name removed] who is the director of community relations was the first person we met with an she is absolutely outstanding. She is the go to person with any questions, issues and concerns we may have. [name removed] who did the initial nursing evaluation was just phenomenal. We had had a couple issues here and there with the nursing staff and not follow up which can be problematic but other than that its been a wonderful experience. There is an activities calendar which looks amazing, the physical therapy has been terrific and the occupational there has been outstanding. We like the fact that there is an outdoor patio, where the residents can gather and even eat their meals weather permitting. They always have a fenced in walking area so your loved ones can walk around outside without the worry of them wondering off. When the weather is nice the residents do have the possibility of going off sight to do activities. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend them to other families

Wonderful Place
When faced with the difficult decision to reach out for assistance for my mother and after looking at several facility's we found Chelsea. From the first phone call to Community Director the decision was made to go with Chelsea. The staff from [name removed] the first person you see to the maintenance department, the caregivers, nursing, activities and food service staff has been nothing but flawless. We cant thank them all enough.

Very welcoming environment from the moment you walk through the door. Staff are empathetic to the concerns and struggles that face an individual and their family when supportive care is now needed. The Director of Community Relations provide hope and support during the initial meeting and the admission process. Discussed the financial benefits of selecting an AL in home state versus out of state site. Answered any questions and stressed her availability for further questions even outside her work hours. Very comforting experience.

All the caregivers are friendly and helpful. The one main issue that I have is not exclusive to this community, my Mom is in the Memory Care Unit but is by far the youngest one as it seems the average age for this type of care appears to be late 70's to early 80's. My mother is in her early 70's and has noticed all the "old people" around her and it seems to make her uneasy at times, I just wish there was a place that she felt more comfortable in with a few more residents more her age.
The staff has gone out of their way to try and convince my Mom to engage in inside and outside activities. They have worked with my sister and I to help my Mom adjust to her new living situation and have accommodated any reasonable requests we have had.

Excellent Facility!
I had to place my husband in care while I had surgery and recovery. He was very happy, well cared for and enjoyed the entire time. All of the staff and employees were absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this facility to anyone. It really is a wonderful place.
