Mercer Terrace, is an assisted living community delivering a whole-person approach to care in a warm yet stimulating environment. The Mercer Terrace has been a great place for our loved one, they have really taken great care of [name removed] A big plus is the brand new kitchen with a new chef who really is a professional.

Adequate
I was generally happy but the food was not good often and at their age mealtimes are what they look forward to the most. It should be terrific!
Also I told the manager verbally, text, and email on our notice to leave but didn't fill out the paperwork until several days later thru no fault of ours and my mom was charged for extra days. Seemed like a scam way to get paid for extra days.
I reached out all the way to the executive level and got no response.

Very Caring
We picked this community because it's close to my home, smaller and it looks good. My loved one really likes it. I would recommend to others. The Executive Director is awesome.

Feels like family and would highly recommend
The main thing that sticks out about Mercer Place is the staff, they are very friendly and they treat everyone like family.
The one thing that they could improve on would be the food.

Staff was very knowledgeable and forthcoming.
Our experience was unique in that our loved one's level of dementia got worse during the move, and once she moved in she tried to escape. So I would recommend that families make extra sure that assisted living is the right option for their loved one's needs. But Mercer Place was very supportive and proactive in helping us find a more appropriate memory care facility for her to move to. The Mercer Place facility was very good, it just needed a little more maintenance attention. But other than that, it was great.

It was a good fit for us
We chose Mercer Place mostly because of the location, it was close it family so we would be able to visit often and take her things. The room sizes here are average compared to some others we saw. Most of them are studio apartments. The food was really good the couple of times that I ate there. I would recommend to others looking.

A caring and cheery community
The management was really helpful. The whole staff were great. We chose this community because we were familiar with it. Also, it was was happier, brighter, cheerier than others a visited, and I liked the people there. They were so understanding of our individual situation. I could not say anything bad about them or the experience there.

We Like the Community
The move has been very nice for my mom and she is doing good. The community is clean. The lady is really nice. Everything is taken care of and I have no complaints. I appreciate A Place For Mom's help. We were in a bind and we needed to find a place real quick. Our advisor hit the nail on what we needed for my mom.

We toured this community for care. We like the community and the staff. At the time they only had a studio size room. They had great staff members to answer the questions. We think that they should up date the rooms. We would suggest that families tour this community for the care for a loved one.
