It's a mom's life
Current staff is working very hard for the full capacity preserve. Quality of care is good. Activities good, food isn't so hot. Place still looks clean and new. My. Mom's in a studio and it's small but to be expected. Love the staff.

Beautiful contemporary spacious. Well decorated
Sales was great, receptionist was just OK, she wasn't very proactive.
Cottages were nice and interior building.
Parents loved it.
We are seriously considering this location, we have looked at 10 or more properties.

Everything on the independent side would be at level 5 as far as size, cleanliness, staff, activities, dinning room. Getting food in the dining room is a little slow and food choices could be better.

The cottages were the only ones available. The community is new and the activity center for cottages is still being built. No meal options were presented. We were told the rate would go up $ [removed]in Jan. We are at max for payments for 2 at $ [removed]and unsure how much it will increase annually

Very Nice Facility for People Without a Pet
Nice facility. Only issue is that just charged me [amount removed] one time fee for cat peeing on carpet. It was a surprise charge. Hopefully, it won't become an issue. I would recommend to people who don't have a pet.

The Preserve at Spring Creek
The director is not very friendly and seems to be only interested in holding events for their corporation and vendors versus paying attention to items within the facility. If the residents were fed the same food that they feed all the outside people who aren't paying, their food would be a lot better.
Also handling medical emergencies seem to be a challenge. When an ambulance came to get my mother, they could not get the proper paperwork to send with her. This happened two times although I spoke with them after the first time, hopefully they've gotten that fixed.
The Daily caretakers were excellent and very good about checking on their residents and very sweet to them. The facility itself being brand new is absolutely beautiful and anyone that visited. My mother always said that it was like a resort.

Reality vs expectation
If one is searching for a community for your loved one realistic expectations are a must.
The 3 main "care abouts" are: food quality and wait staff. Assisted living: laundry being done in a timely fashion and not losing clothing. Garbage being taken care of promptly.
Med techs responding to medication needs.
Senior living industry thrives if they find good people to work in these facilities, hiring quality care takers requires that you can pay them adequately for an often arduous, thankless job.

Adore the staff. Love the activities they are trying to engage their clients in. Love that they all, from the director on down, communicate with me. They are still working to get the kinks out of everything. The place is brand new. Want them to succeed.

our families experience, overall a nice community, friendly staff
When it comes to the meals that are prepared, there could be more diabetes options but they're working on this. Admittedly my parents have been more focused on getting settled in (and I think that's true of the events staff as well) but excited to see where the Montessori approach leads as the site gets more staff and residents when it comes to the activities. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
