Caring, beautiful, and efficient
Just from touring the community I can tell the staff truly cares for the residents and gets to know the little details to make sure everyone is satisfied. The rooms are very homely gives a very ranch style feeling being in the heart of Sugarland TX.

Amazing Dining!
I love coming to the big events at Laurel Glen. They always decorate and make everyone feel so welcome in the building. The food and atmosphere are always spectacular! I will definitely continue to come back every month to see what they have in store next!

Laurel Glen great place
Laurel Glen has been very instrumental in helping my mother navigate living independently. She’s engaged in the daily activities that the staff has planned. We’re kept updated on the changes in the community. So far we’ve been pleased with the management team & staff at Laurel Glen.

Tour experience
Inspired Living at Sugar Land was my first choice and that intake coordinator was great, she kept in touch with me the whole time my Dad was in the hospital. I wanted him to go there, he just never got better and passed away before we could move him in.

Don't judge a book by its cover...
My sister-in-law has lived there for nearly 4 months, and we’re in the process of finding her a new home.
She's morbidly obese and in a wheelchair, and she needs help going downstairs to eat, dressing, cleaning her room, showering, and changing her diapers (she's also incontinent). She also needs skilled nursing to treat her lymphedema and cellulitis. That's a lot but this facility promises they can do it all - for a price, of course.
At first, everything was great, but it quickly took a 180-degree turn. And I can't count the times I've complained to management - 2 executive directors, their head of skilled nursing, and even one of their Regional VPs - all for naught.
So the facility is short-staffed... that's not my sister-in-law's fault. She isn't getting any price break for services not rendered.
I'm giving this facility 1 star only because there is no option for a "0". I strongly don't recommend it to anyone. And FYI – the last 3 reviews are from people who only did a “tour”.

We did make a change and hire a new Executive Director, Shandra Davis, to enhance our community services and build a stronger clinical support team for residents and family members. Shandra has been in touch with you on several occasions to discuss your sister-in-law’s care plan and make any adjustments that are needed order to support her care and your preferences with better efficiency.
Moving into a senior living community can be stressful in the beginning and working with the health and wellness team over the first couple of months is vital to our success. Often, we see care plans or life plans change in those first couple of months as together we find better ways to manage your loved one’s care, needs, and wants.
We appreciate your continued willingness to work with us as we all have one goal in mind; to give the best care and life to your sister-in-law and to give the best support to her loved ones. It would be Shandra’s pleasure to continue to have conversations with you to come up with constructive ideas and plans to meet everyone’s expectations. I loved Inspired Living, it was a lovely place. The outdoor space for residents was very nice. Their intake coordinator was great and kept up with me all the way until my dads passing. This was my 1st choice.

My review of Inspired Living at Sugar Land (Validus Senior Living)
Inspired Living is a very clean community, but when it comes to the house keeping of our loved ones apartment that is really lacking. The floors are sticky and it does not seem like they dust at all. The food there is horrible, our loved ones refuse to eat the meals. We have seen an activities sheet there but not sure how much they are actually doing. The value for cost is extremely high for their selling point. The main reason we chose this community was for the medical attention that was promised, but that has been a total let down. The alert button our loved ones have, if its pressed it takes a staff members 30+ minutes to arrive.

Very Good Experience, But on a Pricey Side
It is the best place in Sugar Land. The staff is stable, and the community is extremely clean. The food is good. The staff is good. They have a hair salon and rehab on site.

Overall a good experience!
We visited a lot of other communities and this was the first one we went to. We were very impressed, it is brand new and looks almost like a resort area, and the people were very friendly. The rooms are nice and well equipped for wheel chairs. It was overall a good first impression.

I looked at several assisted living facilities before selecting Inspired Living - Sugar Land; this one has been great and my mom is very happy and content there. The staff members are all great, especially [name removed] who continues to go out of her way to do things for my mom. I would recommend this place to others an actually have done that.

Review of Inspired Living at Sugar Land
Mother is 98 years young and still thriving! When we first visited Inspired Living we were impressed with the beauty of the community and how warm and welcoming everyone was. Sunday dinners are always a special time with our mother and we can have a meal with her at any other time we want as well. Inspired Living has the right staff in place with care partners who are very caring and work hard to attend to the residents’ needs. The staff is approachable and accessible. We have open and honest communication because they listened to us. The activities are exceptional, so creative, and mother really enjoys the painting projects and tea time. We also like the spacious screened in porches. They provide her the opportunity to be outside for fresh air and the design keeps them cool in the hot Texas weather. Mother is getting more social and initiating more conversations due to the interaction during activities. Because the doors leading to the courtyard in the memory care commuenity are unlocked, we loved the freedom our mother would enjoy being able to go in and outdoors all day as she desired. Due to the state of the art technology, we knew she could do this safely. That was a huge selling point for us. Finally, the monthly memory care support groups have been very beneficial. They have helped us feel comfortable to share the trials and tribulations of living with a loved one with dementia. It has also helped us to connect with those within the community as well as those that still have their loved one at home who will become part of the Inspired Living family in the future.
