Every time we went, the staff were very helpful and kind. The areas were all clean. The move in process was fairly simple. It could use some updating as other places we visited were more bright and welcoming. I would recommend the facility.

Recommended
Every time we went, the staff were very helpful and kind. The areas were all clean. The move in process was fairly simple. It could use some updating as other places we visited were more bright and welcoming. I would recommend the facility.

Review for Katella Senior Living Community
I visited about 8 places. This is close to the hospital and her doctors. It has a nice layout around a courtyard. It's the right scale for her; some of the places I visited were just too big or the rooms or apartments were too large and I was worried about her navigating them.

Would Recommend
Very supportive environment. Adjacent to a skilled nursing facility and across the street from a hospital and other medical services. Responsive billing department.
Residents are charged based on different levels of care and ensuring your loved one is property evaluated is important. Terrific grounds keeper/maintenance staff and very accommodating dietician. The head nurse is amazing.

I knew I couldn't stay alone any longer in my home and i entrusted in my daughters to chose a for me. Katella Senior Living is my new home and i wouldn't have it any other way. the staff is very caring and I have met wonderful friends. I have have extended family who comes in from out of state to see my new home and they were very pleased with the care, culture, and how comfortable and active I was.

It is so nice living at Katella Senior Living. I have an independent apartment and my happiness, privacy, and peace of mind is more than I ever imagined. Once my loved one passed away, I had no desire to be completely alone and was wanting a place with good programs and good food! Also, a place where I would feel safe and I could just be "me." I knew I couldn't stay alone any longer in my home, and I entrusted my daughter to choose a place for me. Katella Senior Living is my new home and I wouldn't have it any other way. The staff is very caring and I have met wonderful friends.

I have been at Katella Senior Living for almost 9 years and this is such a terrific place to call my home. I recall quickly feeling comfortable, free to be me independently and very safe. Before I came here my family and I discussed maybe living with my daughter though I never wanted to feel tended to in that way by my children. I also did not want to be at home during each day as they worked. At Katella, I have gained so many enduring friendships and love the staff. During this pandemic, I feel especially grateful to be here as we have each other.

I haven't found anything I don't like at Katella Senior Living! I came here with my husband when he was very ill and they fulfilled all of his needs completely. He has since passed and Katella Senior Living remains my home.

They really try and sell the community to you. There are a lot of things that you pay for additionally that was presented as part of the monthly fee. It's not as good as what they made it out to be, such as cleaning and changing the linens. There has been items stolen from my loved one.
The community works with hospice; however, we are relying more on hospice than the community. We thought there would be more care from the community than they provide.
It would be nice to have the same the answer from all staff. Not all the staff are LVN.

I am very thankful for the experience I had with all the staff at Katella Senior Living. Anna provided me with all the necessary information I needed to make an informed decision regarding the living situation for my grandparents. She was always available to answer any of my questions and for a tour. The staff at the front desk was also helpful and friendly.

Dignity and Compassion
My fiercely independent 94 year old mother was hospitalized with acute pneumonia. After being in hospital/skilled nursing for about 6 weeks, I was told that I needed to find her another place. She was not in a good place physically or mentally; I was distraught and panicked until I started talking to one of the directors at Katella Senior Living. I don’t know what I would have done without her support. She kept reassuring me that it would be okay. As soon as there was a room available for my mom, she got her in and made sure that it was a smooth transition. For the 1st time in weeks, I was no longer in crisis mode. Since my mom has been there she has regained most of her strength and her mind is as sharp as ever. I was worried that she would be upset to be in assisted living instead of at home, but the staff at Katella Senior Living treat her with such dignity, respect and compassion that I think she feels better about herself being there. You won’t find a better place.

We highly recommend Katella Senior Living Community
We had to move our grandmother into a care facility in the middle of the pandemic, which was an extra stressful and anxious process. The staff at Katella was so understanding and gracious. They went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and to welcome our grandmother. They see her as a person, as part of their family, and continue to show great care for her health and well being. I'm so thankful we found her such a wonderful environment!

Would recommend this community
The care at Katella Senior is wonderful, the staff are very nice and the cleanliness of the community is very well kept. Our loved one really liked the meals in the beginning, now they are getting a little repetitive but they are still good. The activities are relatively limited, but they are a pet friendly community. A really lovely place, but it is close to a busy street and the parking is tricky.

A great place for Mom
In January 2020 we reluctantly needed to place my 92-year-old mother in assisted living and went on the search for the best place. We interviewed many places and ended up feeling very comfortable with Katella Senior Living.
What drew us to Katella was they had about 60 residents yet seemed like they were well connected with the needs of each person. They not only attended to the basic needs but also to the social needs of the group by having exercise class as well as one on one care. They not only seemed to care about my mom’s needs but also what she wanted and did their best to make her feel comfortable in her new living environment.
I’m convinced that character is not shown in good times but in challenging times and that is where I believe Katella excels. Starting in March the world would change and we entered into a very unsettling time. The challenge we faced was how would my mom be cared for in this pandemic. Katella took this challenge and made the hard choices to protect our loved one and we couldn’t be more impressed with how they approached a very challenging time. Of course, it came with great sacrifice as we could not visit in person but honestly, that is a small price to pay for her safety. During the last six months they have kept us updated on the COVID situation and to this point have had only one resident infected and have done a great job on keeping all the residents as safe as they can.
All I can say is in this unsettling time we are extremely grateful in the great care my mother has received and continue to receives at Katella and couldn’t recommend this place higher.
