This has been an excellent home for me. I like meeting people and hearing their stories. I have been living here for 3 yrs. The first year my husband was here and bath of us were glad we decided to move here. It is well run and the staff responds to suggestions that are appropriate my husband and I brought with us an appropriate amount of furniture etc deciding to move here was exactly the right decision! Many persons here feel the same way I do!

Providing care through music
It is such a privilege to provide music therapy services to the residents at Independence Village. Working alongside the activity director has been so fun, and I love watching them interact with the residents during music by helping them dance or place instrument and encouraging them to sing along.

Independence Village of Avon Lake
So overall, I think that elder care facilities like independence, village are overpriced but when comparing this to other facilities, the value for what you're getting is extremely high. The people are wonderfully nice. They're always pleasant when they call me if there's an issue and I've shown a lot of patience with my mom and she got used to her new living situation.

A wonderful place for all!
After my dad passed away, my mom moved into Independence Village and we couldn’t be happier with her experience. From the moment she arrived, the staff has been warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. It’s clear that they go above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable and at home.
The food is fantastic, offering a great variety of delicious and nutritious meals. The services available provide her with everything she needs, from housekeeping to medical support, and there are always fun activities happening to keep her engaged and social.
It means the world to my family and I to know that mom is not only safe but truly enjoying this new chapter of her life. Every time we visit, we feel welcomed and reassured that she is surrounded by a wonderful community. We are so grateful to the entire team at Avon Lake Independence Village for the care and kindness they show every day!

We chose IV of Avon Lake because of the location, word of mouth quality and we heard the food was great which it was. They were very accommodating and kind.
