Highly recommend memory care at Harbor Chase
Harbor Chase welcomed my father with open arms. We appreciated the help from A Place for Mom and Gentiva Hospice. The intake process with admissions and nursing was seamless. The care, food, and activities were exceptional. The memory wing kept the residents together and truly engaged. All of the staff were caring and leadership was transparent. The staff was also amazing at end of life. My dad was not there long before his heart gave out, but while there he participated in the activities.

Would not recommend
They were awful I had to take my mom out after 2 weeks. That memory care unit should be shut down. Management is horrible. The staff mistreated her, stole her medicines, left her alone for hours, and, didn't bath her. I brought her home on Hospice and mom passed away in Feb.

Great Place for Mom
My Mom loves this place. She has been there since they opened and is very happy. Every time I go all are so pleasant and helpful. She loves playing bingo every day and the other activities.
Really no complaints. She likes the food too.

My wife has Alzheimer's and has resided in Sabal Palms Memory Care for over three years..
The facility is well built and well maintained. Upon entering the front door it looks like a first class hotel.
The staff provides excellent care for each individual under their care. The disease has my wife completely helpless and the staff provides for her every need.

I have had a good experience with all my requests for improving things for my husband. It was a period of adjustment for me also. The administration has been outstanding on answering questions that I have had. They have accommodated his medical visits out of the building with good care.

Peaceful caring spirit
The staff at Sabal Palms is very efficient, caring and worked together as a team to make sure my father was well taken care. The physical therapy department had my father up and walking independently again . He called this his home and enjoyed sitting and talking to staff and residents in the beautiful cheerful lobby. Sable Palms strives to have the best for their residents. Wonderful place to call home..

A place to call home
My mother has been a resident for over two years. She is very happy in this community. She enjoys wandering the grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful and everyone knows her name. Since I live far away, it is comforting to know she receives great care at Sabal Palms.

Sabal Palms - Palm Coast
Sabal Palms does a great job caring, helping and servicing their residents. It can be difficult dealing with some people regardless of age, physical/mental condition or where they are presently located (work, school, hospital or assisted living places). The staff at Sabal Palms are very good at managing these sometimes obstacles and different personalities and make them feel safe and comfortable whenever possible!
You’d be in dreamland if you thought there were no problems in this new world of employee shortages. They important thing is they do what ever necessary to handle the problems of today and keeping their residents safe and comfortable.
My almost 97 year old mom has been here over a year.

Mom’s Home
When we had to find a place for Mom, we had looked at a few places. When we walked into Sabal, we loved how beautiful & welcoming it is. We call it the Ritz when we tell everyone. The staff/employees that work there have been so accommodating for my mother in law. Even with her declining more, she needs more attention to her daily needs. After she had been in the hospital, she kept saying she wanted to go home (Sabal). When we visit her, we visit everyone there, the staff & the residents. She’s been there for 3 years, it’s been challenging with her but the staff has always been there for her. Thank you Sabal friends! Definitely recommend Sabal for your love ones.

Sabal palms
I chose Sabal because the administrator reassured me that he would be in excellent hands. She had run her own memory care facility on a smaller scale. I was told that there was 1 aide for every 3 people. The other facilities that I had looked at, the ratio was 9 to 1. My husband was admitted the next day! I had to travel to NY for medical reasons and my husband was too sick to travel. He hadn’t;t showered for me in 9 days, so I was reassured that he would be cleaned up. When Ireturned 4 days later, my husband had 3 pairs of pants on, 3 golf shirts and 2 sweaters! He was unshaven and had never showered and his teeth wee not brushed!!
The toilet was dirty. I think that the aids looked in on him and saw that he was sleeping anddidn’t Want to bother him. With the toilet dirty, Idon’t think any staff had come in, they would have wiped the urine off the rim!

1 of top 2 choices in the area.
Mom is in memory care. New facility with California modern architecture. Of the places I visited in the area; in the middle between low-end linoleum type place and high-end resort. Food and menu also in the middle range. Staff, with the exception of some of the nurses, appear to like their job. Some go above-and-beyond. Deciding factor for me was location provides nature views from windows and some rooms have screened porches/balconies for pets. Only negative is that some of their activities don't appear to attract residents, not much engagement. They need to evolve their activities to suit their residents (more wine and bus trips, less arts and crafts).

Great Community
I visit this Community on a weekly basis. I work for a local Home Health Company. Sabal Palms is beautiful! Very Clean, and no bad smells! I have some of their Residents during an Activity, they looked like they were having fun, very engaged. I have also been there during meal time, and the food looks and smells delicious! I would definitely recommend Sabal Palms to anyone looking for Assisted Living.

Wow! What a gorgeous community. I have been to many properties and this by far is the best I have seen for size, color scheme, location and friendliness. The pricing is very competitive as well. If you have a loved one who needs assistance or memory care, go see Sabal Palms.

new facility. Great activity room, movie room with individual loungechairs, bar/party room, private dining room. Regular dining room with restaurant look and feel. Great activity room, exercise room. Staff all very helpful and pleasant. Rooms a bit generic but nice. Could use a larger frig/freezer in the rooms.
