We have cameras in the room due to my mother-in-law's confusion, and she fell 4 times in the first month there (mostly due to her not asking for help). But the secondary benefit to the cameras was seeing how kind and patient the the staff always was with her. We are having an issue with them sending her to ER frequently for non-urgent issues. She has been sent 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Not sure if there are actually any nurses there who can really assess the residents before just sending to the hospital. My mother-in-law really likes the food- mostly that they always have dessert! They have many activities, and they are very proactive in getting the residents to the activities. It is a very expensive endeavor, (thankful that my in-laws saw the value in purchasing long term care many years ago) but as the family all still work full time it is an option that is best for all involved.
