I was assured Daylesford offered everything he needed, although he was at the high end of the care available there. With only a couple exceptions, staff has been friendly and caring. They got a new director of health and wellness shortly after my dad moved in who was able to resolve some of the initial concerns I had about his care. My dad does not always ask for the help he needs, and they seem to be more geared toward helping with something when asked. This can leave a bit of a gap in meeting his needs. I feel I’ve had to be more involved in making sure he gets some of what should be done (shower frequency, skin care, fall safety) than I expected. Some of the things I used to keep him mobile and safe are not allowed because of rules and guidelines all facilities have to comply with.\nHe has declined a lot in the 3 months he has been there. The facility is beautiful and there are a lot of activities offered.
