He was too confused for our mom to take care of him but so mild that he would have hated the full memory care wing. There are two levels of the circle of friends depending on cognitive test results they conduct. The program does a lot of fun stimulating brain activities all day with others at the same level. The staff is amazing! He started out at the highest functioning level and then progressed to the second level before he passed in 2021 at the age of 94. He never did need the full memory care wing. Our mom, who has her apartment at Belmont Village as well, was able to eat meals with him and spend evenings with him in his apartment. It was a beautiful experience for our dad. Our mom still lives there and doesn’t want to leave. It is worth your time to go for a tour.
