A visit with my wife

Quality care with a top notch staff.
The staff were very friendly and personable. They took the time to interact with me when I would visit. The put together nice parties and the Christmas party for the whole family was wonderful. My mother passed away in December, but I thought it was a nice gesture that the director came to her wake. The staff really liked my mother and were broken up when I went there to collect her belongings.

Review for Arden Courts Northbrook, A Memory Care Community
Things were going well until a management change a few months ago. Currently, there is a resident nearby who frequently becomes very distressed and vocal, which can be unsettling for others. It may be beneficial for her care needs to be reassessed to ensure she is receiving the appropriate level of support and supervision for both her well-being and the safety and comfort of other residents.

friendly, warm community
The 4 community wings which allows a smaller community, the large out door area, lots of space to walk in building, the very kind staff who know all the residents by name, the single rooms for each resident. Improvement: the food. More fresh fruits and vegetables.

Finding a Gem in the Memory Care Madness
The front desk staff is nice and the Director is great. Most of the staff that actually takes care of the patients are very caring and good. A male nurse I wasn't thrilled with but other than him most staff was supportive and kind.

A caring competent home for the rest of his life.
My husband had dietary restrictions which were recognized and followed by all those who dealt with meals and snacks. He required extra attention to toileting needs which were managed by staff as required. The activities he could attend were appropriate to his interests. In general the overall care was excellent. The staff was always patient and met his needs with care and knowledge.

Best decision I could have made for myself and my mom!
Arden Court immediately made me feel like it was the best place for my mom. I would highly recommend!!! The staff at Arden Court are clearly dedicated to their community and jobs! They offer such a peace of mind.

Would highly recommend
Absolutely a 5 PLUS for all 8. My husband was in there a year with a two trips to the er. The caregivers in his area could not have been more caring and supportive of him and our whole family. They became family to us. They were like that to everyone. The atmosphere was bright with a lot of activity going on.
Can not say enough wonderful things about Arden from the administration to those who kept the place spotless.

My mother was at Arden Courts for the past 2 1/2 years before moving to a nursing home. Very caring staff, lots of activities, and excellent communication with my sister and myself. We appreciate all that they did for her to make her time there enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Caring staff!
A good point is that the executive director came to brookdale to meet my mother. He takes a very hands on approach with the residents and really seems to put their best interests first. Most of the staff that I have had interaction with have been wonderful. They seem to enjoy what they are doing and are very good with the residents. They keep them busy. My concern was they list her laundry when she moved in but they did find some other clothes for my mother. I felt the marketing director was overwhelmed at times. But that is to be expected.

A facility specializing in Alzheimers/Dementia Care
My mother had been in Assisted Living until recently, when her dementia symptoms worsened. I was told she would need more specialized care and that I needed to find a memory care facility for her. For the next 3 weeks I hired private caregivers, allowing me to tour recommended facilities. I found that Arden Courts was built specifically for patients like my mother, who roamed the halls at night, and often attempted to escape (elope). Arden was much more secure than any other facility I toured, and patients were treated respectfully. They have activities planned daily that promote happiness and a sense of family. There are professionals on the premises and an adequate roster of caregivers to provide peace of mind for your loved one.

As a guest visiting this assisted living community, I’ve been thoroughly impressed by the level of care and attention given to each resident. As someone who works alongside healthcare professionals, I can confidently say that the staff here truly go above and beyond in providing individualized care. Every interaction I observed was marked by kindness and respect, with caregivers tailoring their approach to meet the unique needs of each person.
The community itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which speaks volumes about the high standards upheld by the management.
