We have been very pleased with our Mothers care here at Arden Courts. The staff is very attentive, friendly and professional. There are a wide variety of activities and places to walk about. Arden Courts is a very safe community.

Overall a wonderful experience
Our experience there has been generally great. Has it been perfect? No. But I can’t imagine any other facility doing a better job. My Mom who has Alzheimer’s has been there a little over 10 months. She might not say she likes it there but I can tell that she does. Everything from taking care of her personal needs, the meals and the activities had been very good. I know many people, including my wife and myself, thought we/ they could take care of their loved one the best. You can’t. My biggest suggestion, and this isn’t a criticism of Arden Court or any facility, is that you need to visit your loved on a regular basis. it’s not just for your benefit but it makes things easier for everyone involved

Our families experience
5/5 highly recommend and this was not her first placement. Overall experience was wonderful. Kind and caring place. Low staff turnover so you got to know the staff. Building is very clean and feels more like a home than care facility. Chef was very good would even bring in did that my mom would eat (watermelon and flavored milks). Scott had great family fun events there. Activities were very good but because is it a dementia facility not sure how much people could participate outside building. The cost was lower than many places we looked at. Very nice outdoor areas you can sit with you family member. Couldn't have asked for better care for my mom

Grateful
After being the primary care giver for my wife for three years, I reached the point where I could no longer meet her needs. After doing research on various memory care facilities, I decided to place her at Arden Courts in Elk Grove Illinois. As difficult as that was, each passing day confirms my decision was the right one. Simply put the entire staff, starting with the most caring and genuine Executive Director who sets the tone for the entire community, is outstanding. The moment you walk in the home to visit your love one, you are meet with a smile and a welcoming greeting. The experiences I’ve had with all the people who deal with my wife, from the chef’s, activities director and caregivers is outstanding. They truly care for the residents and treat them with love and respect. I highly recommend Arden Courts for anyone looking for placing their loved one in a memory care facility.

Excellent Care
When our family suffered a crisis when our sister-in-law passed away Arden Court of Elk Grove Village in Illinois was there for us. They consistently provided loving and competent care for our brother who suffers from dementia. When the time arrived for us to choose a home for him, we did not want him anywhere else but Arden Court. They take care of him with a well-trained staff, an educated medical team, and an always available administrative team. The deep sense of being “home” consoles my brother and all of us who care for him. Arden Court is a home away from home which we consider a true blessing.

Here are just a few contributions to that ease of mind:
- Everyone from Caregivers to the Director always takes time to say hello and have a discussion with me about what is going on with Mom.
- It has been a huge pleasure to see Mom engaging in activities. I have seen that no matter what level of ability a resident has, the staff puts forth effort to engage each person.
- Her transition has not been without challenges. It has shown me that she is surrounded by caring and capable professionals who sincerely want to resolve problems. The resolutions are both quick and with a desire to prevent additional challenges.
I want to send a huge thank you to the Arden team who made it possible for my husband and I to have a mini vacation without a call to resolve some issue with Mom. It has been years since we have had that luxury. Thank you!

Cozy and comfortable
Arden Courts is the perfect medium amongst area communities. Large enough to fit a variety of needs and small enough for individualized care. I give Arden Court the highest recommendations. The staff are truly caring and very gentle in handling the patients. The patients are given choices for activities and not compelled to all do the same thing at the same time. Freedom to walk around, freedom to go outside in the patio area, and to go to the activity room is very important. The nursing care is wonderful. Visitors are very welcomed. We are approaching one year at Arden and I am very happy with our choice.

Loving care at Arden Courts
My wife has been at Arden Courts for over two and a half years. It was a very difficult decision for me to have her enter a memory care facility. However I can truthfully say I made the right decision choosing Arden Courts. It all starts with the Administrative Services department. There’s always a friendly welcome and ask how you personally are doing. The qualities that stands out the most to me is how the entire staff, from the Executive Director, Memory Care Advisor to every caregiver I’ve encountered treats every resident with love and respect. They never pass a resident without having a positive comment or conversation. They have an outstanding activity program and the food is delicious. It’s like eating a home cooked meal. The nursing staff is very professional and caring. They never hesitate to help out with any questions and concerns. Finally the building is very clean. Without hesitation I would recommend Arden Courts if you need to place a loved one in a memory care center.

A Carlng Place for Your Loved One
My mom has been at Arden Courts for three years. She has received great personalized attention and care from the entire staff. The staff has been responsive to my requests. The quality and variety of the resident activities continues to improve with attention given to stimulating a resident's five senses. My mom has been well taken care of throughout her stay. I enjoy my visits with her, the staff and the other residents. I wish I could care for my mom at home but that's not possible. Instead I trust Arden Courts to keep mom well, safe and satisfied.

Mom is Happy, I’m Happy!
Placing Mom in a facility was extremely hard for us. She, even at 95 was living alone and walked at least 1 1/2 miles every day. Unfortunately that ended last November. Following rehab we knew she needed to be placed in memory care. My brother and I visited a few facilities and chose Arden. I am there pretty much every day so I have the opportunity to see every facet of the care given. I come from over 50 yrs in the medical field and am familiar with patient care. The residents are treated very well by a wonderful friendly caring staff. Mom is involved in many activities, more than if she lived with me. Daily chair exercise, bingo, a fabulous singer every month, bowling, movies, ice cream socials & family events. Even Cinco de Mayo with 6 Mariachi’s & lunch!
The building is clean and secure, has outdoor and indoor areas for walking and visiting. Mom loves the food and the Sunday morning Mass. I feel fully at ease and confident that Mom is well cared for at Arden.

Concerning Situation
The beds at Arden Courts do not have any bedrails, nor hand rails of any kind to assist or protect the elderly. This has resulted in my 92 year old mother falling out of her bed numerous times as she has tried to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. There are no cameras, nor sensors of any kind to alert staff that my mother is getting out of bed to go to the bathroom at night. So my mother is on her own. This has resulted in my mother falling too many times!
I have tried to stress the importance of these simple, sensible protocols to protect our elderly from ending up with broken bones, but my requests have been dismissed under the excuse that any type of bedrails and sensors are a restraint, and are not allowed. I feel frustrated and powerless. I feel that these are simple measures that prevent unnecessary injuries, pain and suffering. These simple measures should be part of memory care! It only makes sense!

I recently went to Arden courts with my 3 kids to visit my aunt, and attend an event. I was blown away by how much fun we had! They had a live band, and the food was AMAZING!! You could tell how much work was put into this event by the decor and amazing buffet they had set up. by my observation, You could also tell how much the staff cared about there residents. I left with a great feeling seeing that my aunt is in such a nice place.
