We experienced minor issues on move in because it was on Dec 24 (normal staff were short) -- the room was not in order -- they had bought a bunch of stuff for the room and it was in shopping bags when we arrived -- some minor missing items like mugs etc that they filled in once we identified what was needed. Again, I think if it had not been Christmas Eve, everything would have been in better order. The only other comment we have was around communication when the hot water was out. They were unrehearsed in how to handle the communication with clients, families and between themselves... as a result, the fix was delayed. We ultimately had to escalate the matter to ensure management was aware and getting a fix...with cold weather, this was frustrating for my MIL. We spoke to a couple staffers who were happy working there -- no issues when there was a recent management change / rebranding. All in all, we had a good experience and would use Washington Pointe services again!

Staff are very friendly and are always outgoing and happy. They care about what we want and the ED has a meeting every week to discuss our needs.
There is always something to do and a great big event every month. We loved the Disco Party a few days ago.. so much fun.

By far the best facility we viewed and we saw a bunch. The staff takes care of my mother in law and keeps her very busy doing activities where she can be successful. Residents enjoy cooking, gardening, outings and painting. We are very pleased!

Great Place to Be
My loved one likes the food a lot. They have a lot of options for the activites. We picked this community because, the staff is very engaging, the location and build itself feels like home. They have a great gym, and an oppucational therapist onsite. They made us feel, very welcomed as a family They also have a, Friday night happy hour.

Overall pleased
We chose MacArthur Hills because I just got a good feeling when I first walked in the door. People were friendly, there were activities going on, and the atmosphere it was bright and cheery. The residents and staff were all out and about and walking around. She really likes the food. They get two choices and then there are certain menu items are available at all times if they do not want those 2 options. They are having some issues with their alert system but they did just transition to a new one so I think that is temporary. Overall we have been pleased with our experience.

great option for my dad
When we first had our tour, it seemed like there was a lot of things for the residents to do, and it is a nice living situation. The feedback we get from our father is that he seems to really be liking the meals being served. There is a lot of different activities going on for the residents, and based on our experience so far we would recommend the MacArthur Hills community to others.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and the community is nice, it has very nice facilities but given our loved ones state of health we did not want them dealing with elevators, We thought it would be too much for them.

It is a great place to call home.
It is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. We are very please with Mac Arthur Hills. The room sizes are good compared to others. There is nothing that we are not happy with. The food is a little repetative. They have an outdoor patio and garden area for the residents to use.

Much Better Option Than Before
We are thankful that we had this community to fall back on. After not having a good experience in another community you tend to be concerned about another facility doing the same thing but this community has proved me wrong. The staff is wonderful very nice, attentive and caring very tender with the residents. It is clean and very well maintained. He is liking the food there. I am very comfortable with the care he is getting.

There's no place like home!
It was love at first sight for me and my family. This is a new facility with apartments to please just about anyone. The friendliness and happy faces of the residents was a big plus for me. The food is great and activities are many. I would suggest a visit to McArthur Hills before you make any decisions on a Senior Retirement facility.

My parents are residents of MacArthur Hills. They both started in Assisted Living, however, my father recently moved into Memory Care. The staff has been very supportive and provided guidance with our decision to move my father.
The entire staff is respectful to all residents. The care staff truly cares for my parents, and treats them like family.

A tour with care
.I was able to tour this community. I was please with the staff who were able to answer my questions about the care for my brother. The restaurant was very nice and upscale. The community was clean and enjoyable. They do offer alot of nice activities . The environment was nice, but this was not what I was looking for at the time.
I suggest families to tour the community for care for a loved one.

Review of MacArthur Hills Senior Living Center
MacArthur Hills is a very nice place for Senior Citizens. The food is good and well prepared. The facility is comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful in all they do except the response time is slow when the call button is turned on and we are disappointed that they don't provide a higher level of care as that need arises. This imposes another move when that time comes.
If a person is looking for a comfortable living environment without the needed higher level of care, then this is the place to be.
