It was a difficult adjustment for them, but the staff at Verena made the transition so easy. My mom enjoys not having to cook any more and enjoys the delicious food prepared by the chefs. My parents got involved in Bingo and play about twice a week. My mom was also excited they have a Mahjong group as she played in Arizona. There is a monthly calendar with daily activities, so there is always something to do. There is even a hair salon, which they love having right in the building. Another plus is they have PT on site which they have both used. I cannot say enough good things about Verena, from the wonderful staff to the friends they have made. When we tired of taking care of a large home, yard, and all that goes with owning and caring for a home, we made an appointment to visit Verena. \nWe walked in and immediately felt a peaceful warmth that I had never experienced. It was where we belonged! We wrote a deposit check on the way out, called a realtor from the parking lot and put our house on the market. We sold in 8 days and moved in to Verena 34 days later. \nCaring, loving, fun, residents and staff, excellent food, and all the amenities for less money than I was paying running our home. \nThere's a lot to be said for living with people from all backgrounds, all walks of life, that have one thing in common.
