The building is relatively new, and the Units are large and filled with light. Mom didn't want to leave her place, but needed additional care that a Senior Living Community provides. Having both Senior Living and Memory Care in the same building was also a positive. After only a couple weeks, mom came around and talked about how nice her place was. \nThere is a sense of community at Urbana Place that extends beyond the employees to the other residents. Several of the residents went out of their way to welcome mom into the community and participate in some of the many activities that are planned every week. \nBeing a picky eater (and creature of habit), Mom also liked the ability to order \"off the menu\" with a list of always available selections. \nHighly recommend. In the limited interaction I've had with the staff, they've been friendly and accommodating, although there has been a little bit of a delay in them getting back to me. I like the fact that if she needs more care later on or if she needs to see a physician, they can do that on-site without her having to leave the facility.
