Unitarian Universalist House closed in 2010!
Unitarian Universalist House WAS a wonderful facility. My Mom lived there during [time frame removed]. Sadly, Unitarian Universalist House closed/went bankrupt and the building was sold (at fire-sale pricing) in 2010! The building is now a rental property, with apartments catering to young people, college students. The attached nursing home is, from what I can tell, empty. 5 stars for what UU House was! It had 30 beds in skilled nursing and 2.5 staff members per resident! It could not sustain this after losses its Trust Fund suffered due to the 2008 Great Recession. See http://uuhoutreach.org for a related org providing in-home assistance, that still functions. It is scandalous that A Place for Mom would still be directing people to a once highly-rated facility, 12 years after it CLOSED. Please see https://www.medicare.gov/care-compare/ for current data! Because it closed, I'm selecting N/A for all the other ratings. However, when it was OPEN, the rating would have been all 5 stars!

Frequently Asked Questions
about Unitarian Universalist House

A Place for Mom has scored Unitarian Universalist House 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
