There is always an activity or class happening - exercise, art, chats to learn about different countries, etc. the activities director is also great about making sure residents stay active and social and do ‘t stay in their rooms all day. There are regular live music happy hours in the lobby and different events for special occasions. All meals are served restaurant style in a community dining room with a different special each day and a set menu of items like hamburgers. There is a resident nurse and there is always someone at the nurse’s station in case of emergencies. I’m able to have things delivered via Amazon and Target easily. My mom will pick up packages at the front desk or if the package is large, a staff member will bring it to her room. My mom fell a week before her move in date, so my sister and I were able to completely move her stuff in. Maintenance hung over 20 pictures exactly where we wanted them. The cable company had TVs ready to go when she finally moved in. The meals are good quality, they have open dinning from 7am-7pm. No set meal time. You can come down anytime and get a snack or a meal either to dine in or packed to take out. I would definitely recommend The Sterling Aventura to others.
