a trusted place for your loved one
This is independent living she cares most on her own but they care about her. This is the area where my mom says is not great - food is not great. She does most things as to what she can do. They should have expanded driver hours. Compared to others this was most affordable for us. It is a good place. She never complains about the staff. They are very helpful to her and they know her family and they are extremely welcoming and helpful to me. As her daughter I know that if something were to happen or if she didn't arrive at a meal someone would come looking which is very comforting to me and my brother

Caring community with great staff
The staff is excellent! Always looking out for the residents. Good communication with me. Always encouraging mom to participate in activities. Not entirely happy with food services but I'm told they're working on it.
Apartment size is perfect for my mom. Especially that she doesn't have to clean it lol cleaning ladies come faithfully once a week and take care of everything for her.

Great overall experience!

My mom is very happy at The Residences at Plainview community. The people are nice and the staff members are very caring. She loves it and loves all the socialization they have going on. This community has changed my moms life, she is busy all day.

My experience there thus far has been incredible

I've eaten there once - food was good
Nice vegetarian options
The activities are diverse and frequent
My mom has gradually been moving in and the staff has supported her choice to do that.

good fit, positive experience, highly recommend
The overall experience has been good. Staff is very friendly. The only issue we are having is the quality of food is not good. We are working to try and get this resolved. She is in a studio which fits her needs.

A wonderful senior living facility
They have a very friendly staff, and the pricing is competitive. Both the staff and residents are all very happy and seem to enjoy it there. It would be nice if they added more outings off the premises.

I am very pleased with the care my loved one is receiving. The staff go out of their to make my loved one feel welcomed. The community is good at trying to match the residents up to form friendships. The staff communication is very good, they send photos, texts, and more to keep me updated on my loved one and what they are doing. The staff are very kind people.
There are three meals a day served to the residents, and they have choices to choose from. There was a recent change in chefs in the community.

Staff go above and beyond
The Residences at Plainview has a very friendly atmosphere to it and the staff are very easy to work with. They are very easy to get in touch with and answer any questions we may have. They made the move in process extremely easy and they were so helpful, they helped move in large furniture and they had balloons and a bouquet of flowers waiting for our loved one inside her room. They send out the activities schedule to the families which is nice. We have been very happy and we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

Our experience with The Residences at Planview has been terrific! My sister, who is [age removed] years old, lives there. They're doing a great job; we're trying to arrange for her doctor(s) to come in. It's a beautiful place, we're very happy. The apartment is beautiful; it's a large apartment with a full kitchen. They're having trouble with their main kitchen right now; the chef has left and they're in the midst of change, but I think that will be resolved soon. She's delighted and I'm delighted - it's a great residence, it really is.

Would recommend for independent living
This is very much strictly independent living. If someone needs a transitional place, this is not the place. The apartments are nice and they have washers and dryers in the units. We have had a couple of small issues that have not been fixed yet, but they are still new and getting up and running. I understand the food is very good. I have eaten here a few times and they have had no complaints. Overall I would recommend The Residences at Plainview for independent living.

However, we do have communities close by, including right down the road in Plainview at Somerset Gardens if your loved one needs Assisted Living or Memory Care services. We also allow for home care services and medical appointments on site.

Mom is now living the best life and I am really jealous
I have told a lot of people about this community. i think that this is a great community but you do need to be somewhat independent because this is not assisted living. My mother has been nothing but happy at this community. They have activities like exercise, physical therapy, arts and crafts and more for the residents to have a good time at the community.

The Residences at Plainview was lovely. It was a new, large, and modern facility. My friend wanted a smaller and homier place. But I thought this was a spectacular new facility, with gyms and beautiful swimming pools and decks, none of which she cared about. She tended to be intimidated by the larger, fancier places, and even though to my taste I thought they were spectacular, I had to remind myself to look through her eyes since she would be the one living there.

Loving caring staff
In February of 2021, The Residences opened their doors and I helped move my Mom from a garden apartment into her new 2 bdrm unit. The last year with Covid was extremely stressful and isolating for her, but an overwhelming sense of calm came over our whole family with this move. We encountered genuine compassion from The Residence's staff and any issues that come up were quickly worked out. Mom gets to spend her time interacting with other residents at meals, movies, Bingo or just sitting in one of the common spaces with her sewing or a book. My sisters and I were very apprehensive to move Mom anywhere, but after seeing the oversight and real love from all of the staff, I'm now sure we made the right choice.
A specific "shout out" to [name removed] the Executive Director. She's always "hands on", and aside from "running the operation", she's not above jumping in to help with food service or apartment maintenance if it solves a problem or relieves an anxiety. Thank you
