Phenomenal Experience
I am so happy for the care that my Mother receives at The Landing at Queensbury. The facility and the staff are outstanding! I know she is well cared for and she feels safe. She even refers to it as her forever home. I am so grateful for all they do to improve my Mother's quality of life

We have had a good experience so far. Mom has a lot of complaints but that is typical of her and not necessarily a reflection of their quality of service. The one complaint she has which is justified though, is the food. It seems that they are short staffed and the dining experience is unremarkable at best. I would expect better quality meals for the price she is paying. That aside, I would recommend the Landing to anyone.

Worth a look
Everyone is friendly and respectful. It's been a pleasure up to this point. I don't see any problem with the food but my parents are used to their own home cooking. They don't complain about it anymore.

Quality of care at first the place was amazing now that my mother is declining. They cannot take care of her and until we find a spot for her they're trying their best. I guess so probably three. The meals are really good activities probably a three they don't always do activities and then poor people are just sitting there just staring at the walls Cleanliness one my mother's room is disgustingly dirty and I am the one that always cleans it friendly staff probably a three. My mother fell one day and had to go to the emergency room and we asked the nurse to keep an eye on my mom so she wouldn't fall again and a nurse told us that if she fell, she fell it wasn't her problem so friendliness not so good. Value for my money we pay [name removed] a month and it's absolutely definitely not worth it. I clean her room. I do her laundry because her laundry is never done as far as them giving medicine and feeding her that's about all the good for so for the value of my cost I give them a one.

Best move we could have made
My mom is really happy here and a lot less stressed about day to day life tasks. She is usually off doing something fun when I call. The staff are kind and the place is immaculate. So happy we made this decision.

The main reason we chose The Landing at Queensbury over other places we looked at was because of the location, the great sales pitch, and it just seemed to be the best choice in the area. The staff for the most part are very nice. The food seems to be hit or miss. I think that the cost for what is provided seems a bit excessive.

A wonderful environment
Mom has not participated in any activities, but they do seem to offer several. The meals have been disappointing according to mom, and she is apparently not the only one who has complained. It seems that for the cost they should be able to provide outstanding food service. Overall, we have had a wonderful experience and would recommend The Landing to anyone.

Everything is a five except for the cost it is absolutely ridiculous and how much these places charge I am now in the process of having to move my mother again because we cannot afford [fee removed] a month. She has gone through all of her money in less than a year. However based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

Amazing Place for My Dad!
My dad was in the Landing from September of 2021 to March of 2022. He started having some health issues and had to go into a nursing center. Upon recovery, the staff at the Landing, specficially [name removed] and [name removed], welcomed him back with open arms. He loves to walk his laps outside every day and enjoys being only 15 minutes from Lake George.

We thought it was going to be a good fit; however, when we toured it, we felt it wouldn't be the best fit for our loved one. The primarily gave us a tour of the assisted living area and we needed memory care for our loved one.

Tour experience
We had a great tour experience with The Landing at Queensbury, we loved everything that we were shown about the place. They gave us a really good tour and the staff were great with their information they gave us and follow up after the fact. Unfortunately they did not have any availability for respite in the time frame that we were looking in.

They made the admission process easy with the information that they provided to us and their guidance
The communication especially with the lady who works in admission is wonderful. She has continued to be very helpful, welcoming, and information. She has quick response times, she has great communication skills and always interacts with the residents. The nurse manager is also very easy to get a hold of which we appreciate - they always call us if anything happens to our loved one or we need to be aware of any updates. Our loved one does not always participate in the activities but her room is right in the memory care unit off to the side of the main area where the activities are and we can see plenty going on. The staff are just always very attentive and familiar with each resident

Not what we expected
It is a nursing home environment (as opposed to more of an independent living with around-the-clock care), which is not what we wanted. I believe it's more for people who have daily assistance needs, as opposed to someone living independently with the assistance provided. There were only a few staff members who were truly caring, and the ones who were not so caring made my loved one's time there miserable. I couldn't go inside to visit, but the room was cleaned regularly, and I could see form outside the window it looked clean. We were disappointed in how very little activities they offered, especially considering where our loved one is now, where they have things going on every day. Everything on The Landing's website looks great, and when we got there, it was just not what we thought it would be. I know it's Covid right now, but still. And the food was just awful. For the amount of money that we spent, we didn't feel we were getting what we paid for. Memory care patients are on a spectrum of functioning, and our loved one felt like they treated her as if she had more issues than she did. It's probably right for a some people, it just wasn't right for us.

Our loved seemed happy there
We were very happy with this community, it was a beautiful place. Every time we visited the community was clean, we had no complaints about anything. The meals looked terrific, and she seemed to be happy with it. They had different meal options to choose from and if you didn't like those options they would make you a sandwich so they were very accommodating. Considering what she was getting, we thought it was a good value and the staff was very friendly.

Great care during difficult times
Director [name removed] has kept us informed throughout the pandemic. The Staff has always been ready to assist when we call to speak with my brother, [name removed]. It's been hard not being able to see him but it's wonderful to know these dedicated "heroes" are there to keep him safe! Resident Care Coordinator, [name removed] and her Staff have been above and beyond. [name removed] was able to keep his Doctor's appointment through tele-care communication recently, which she arraigned. I was so happy. [name removed] is a quiet fellow. Like's TV and taking in the activity around him. He is doing well at The Landing. [name removed] enjoys the wonderful meals at The Landing. Until this past December, [name removed] was living by himself in Queens, NY. When I think of him being up here with us, safe and sound, I thank God. And then I thank the entire Staff at The Landing at Queensbury. Kudos all around!
