It's a pleasant, comfortable place to live. The staff and residents are all friends. The dining hall serves good food and is a comfortable, community gathering place at meal time. The facility is clean and well maintained, and everything needed is available. A complete Kaiser medical facility is right across the street. It's an excellent place to live. It's a beautiful place to live.

Our families experience regarding the listed categories is a 4.
However, The communication from the Havens to resident family is absolutely HORRIBLE. For example:
1) Families were never notified when the entire facility was in isolation for weeks due to Covid outbreak.
2) The facility was without hot water for 4 days. At an assisted living facility, this is a health crisis.
3) Management staff has changed 3 times since my Dad's arrival.
4) Voicemail recording is from the previous manager.

Gone down hill
This place has gone down hill over the last several months. Nobody calls me back from the general managers office, the tall blonde lady next door in the office is rude she was yelling at another employee when I tried to get her help she ignored me completely. The food is fair definitely not good. They take your money and don’t deliver the services. Overall it’s a dump and you should avoid it.

Very friendly staff
Everyone is very friendly!
My mom is clean, fed and issues regarding her apartment are addressed right away.
Sometimes they run out of things and then half the portion to go around ...according to my mom
However, they have a monthly meeting with the residents on how they can improve.

My mother's experience in Lancaster, CA
Staff are friendly and competent, but there are occasional slips such as not telling us when my mother got covid. There have been a couple of unnecessary hospitalizations. Food is decent, not great, but certainly satisfying. Lately there has been a lack of activities. Many things scheduled that never happen.

Great Staff!! Nice Residents!!
I am a seasoned Physical Therapist who has had experience with many facilities and living environments during my career. The Havens at Antelope Valley is one of the better places I've seen.
The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and professional.
The residents there are more like family than neighbors, they look our for each other and routinely engage in social activities together.
If a senior in my life ever has the need for an assisted living facility The Havens at Antelope Valley will be my top choice for them.

Fabulous place for Mom!
The staff is very friendly, it's like a home environment at The Havens at Antelope Valley. The move in is hard, but that would be anywhere. With dementia, it takes 4 to 6 weeks for adjustment. But now my mom is really happy there. The housekeeping is great and comes once a week. Mom's room is always clean and trash dumped every afternoon. Communication is wonderful and we get updates all the time. The food in Memory Care comes on a cart and is cold if not eaten right away. Sometimes my mom over sleeps in the morning and cold or microwave eggs don't taste good. I've eaten there a few times and was not impressed. We take mom out to lunch often. The beauty salon has one person who comes for 5 hours on Mondays. Mom is used to going to the salon once a week and so far they only squeezed mom in once. I now take her to my hairdresser. The activities are very limited with Memory Care, most of the residents don't participate all the time. They don't go on walks very often, but now it's too cold to be outside much. The Halloween party was fantastic with all residents and the staff dressed up. My mom thoroughly loved it! I highly recommend the Havens at Antelope Valley!

The Havens of Lancaster
The Havens has been a good experience for my father-in-law and for us as well. He enjoys living there, he especially enjoys the activities. Unfortunately, my father-in-law is a very picky eater so the dining experience has been a little underwhelming for him. That was the reason for the four stars below. As far as the staff, they are friendly & very helpful toward our needs. [name removed], in administration, has been very helpful to us and a joy to work with.

A place to call home!
I’ve been affiliated with the Havens for almost two years now. The resident and staff are friendly and caring. There is such a warm environment within the community. Our perfect home
We were looking for a place for us that we could plan to go to in a few years when we needed extra help with our daily lives. When we visited The Havens, we were impressed with the clean, bright facility, the several apartment options, and the friendly atmosphere. While we're still relatively young (in our late 70's) and healthy, the independent living arrangements were what we were looking for, and we decided to wait for an available apartment. We didn't have to wait long until the perfect apartment became available. We moved in, and are so glad we are here. Though everything is provided, we are living independently and take care of ourselves. While we have a kitchen, we don't need to prepare our meals as the dining room provides excellent meals which are tasty and filling. Everyone, staff and residents, are so friendly and encouraging. The staff know us by name, and the dining staff even know the foods we like. There are plenty of activities every day and lots of friends.

My brother picked it based on cost, location, and a visit.Decent place, some shortcomings (food is just ok, but not bad), a bit short staffed, staff seem to genuinely care, renovations underway that are very slow, but improvements have been made as a result.

I would tell others to be clear on the levels of care assessment and the distinction between oxygen tanks vs oxygen concentrator for additional care charges.
Make sure to provide written documentation to residents for updates and changes to any existing policies or regulations.

great place to live
I am happy to live here the employees care a lot more than they ever are expected to and I am glad to be here. Everyone is friendly and the food is great too. I do not think I could have found a better place to live.

Food is awful! People are nice.
My mother lives here and I visit often from out of town. When I am here the people are very friendly. But the food is awful. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what they are serving. The wait staff really needs to be trained. They will carry one thing at a time or it can take 30 minutes to get a pat of butter. They also tend to run out of what is on the menu quite often.

My mom loves her new home
My mom moved in 6 months ago and is so happy to have found the perfect place that meets all her needs. The food is delicious and the activities she loves. The staff are cheerful and always willing to help. I am so happy she is thriving. Definitely put your loved one here you will not regret it.
