They were there when my mohter needed them.
They took good care of my mother during the big freeze. They did transfer her to another facility to take care of her while they got the repairs made at the original facility. The nurses were very attentive and kind. There were some issues with the other residents in and out of each oth

My Tour Experience at Autumn Grove Humble Cottage
Nice community in a home like setting, but more end of life or memory care feel.

The Autumn Grove needs more staffing to accommodate the residents
We have been very satisfied so far with all the activities they have to offer, but when it comes to the care services that could use a little improvement. Given the condition and mental state of our loved one, it seems more extreme then what the staff are accustomed and trained for. There is just not enough staff to accommodate that high level of care.

They were there when my mohter needed them.
They took good care of my mother during the big freeze. They did transfer her to another facility to take care of her while they got the repairs made at the original facility. The nurses were very attentive and kind. There were some issues with the other residents in and out of each other's rooms, and there were several times things were missing from my loved one's room, pairs of gloves, etc. Her room was very cold - the HVAC wasn't working in her room. We mentioned that several times to them, and they finally got that dressed. Depending upon the individual and the situation, I would recommend them. They were there to take good care of my mom.

Compassionate care
We have had a great experience at Autumn Grove because they are very caring and compassionate. My Dad’s health decline has been really swift and he is still has the highest cognitive functioning in the residence but the caregivers treat him with true dignity. I have been especially impressed with the individual attention they give which means that they treat each person according to their unique needs. I’ve witnessed this with other residents as well. I also really like to see how most of the caregivers truly love the residents and seem to sincerely enjoy serving them with tremendous patience.

Doing Well Thank You
Mom seems to be doing well since moving here. She is not the sort of person who likes to participate in any of the activities that are offered but she is enjoying socializing. The food from what I've been told is good. The staff is been friendly and helpful. The community and grounds seem to be well cared for clean and neat. We have no complaints, I could recommend them.

Nice facility... clean, friendly, décor good... may could have used some update.... no offensive smells... resident's were all sleeping in comfortable recliners with throws... staff checking on them the entire time I was there.. they seemed to be attentive to each resident's needs... seemed small but like a group home (good thing) instead of a commercial facility... it would be a forever home and that was a plus... [Removed] was very caring and compassionate toward staff and residents...

Nice Staff!!
During my visit to the community of AutumnGrove Cottage in Humble the people that i met were friendly. The tour guide was very informative about what the community offered. The tour guide explained the healthy meal plans available. They also had various activities for the residents to engage in.

Feels like home
The Autumn Grove Cottage is a small facility and it feels more like a home than a clinical facility. The residents get to enjoy TV and have activities with music in designated or common areas, which really brings them out of their shells, they aren't left to stay in their rooms.

I'm very happy with them.
I'm very happy with them. The staff is very, very kind, and caring, and they are always friendly. They never bat an eye when the job gets tough, it's very refreshing how much they care. I like that it's small there are only 16 residents there. The managers door is open anytime you are there, and it's the same with the nurse and the physicians assistant. If I had to say anything they don't have a whole lot of activities, but when you look at the condition of the residents, they aren't capable of very many activities, they do have bingo and a few games they do, and they play music and have a little entertainment. They do a good job of getting everyone up and about everyday. The food isn't good, I don't know how to solve that. They have a big patio outside. We chose it because a friend of ours was here and they raved about it. When I took the tour the thing that impressed me, the manager was able to empathize with me. It's family owned, it's not a huge corporation, and it's in a neighborhood, and it looks like a house and is laid out well. The security is good. It backs to a lovely wooded area. They have a philosophy about if a worker is doing something and a resident wants to talk you stop and talk. They have fewer residents so they have an open kitchen, it's set up so no one will hurt themselves, but they can help out if they want to. They are able to stay until end of life.
