Terra Bella in Athens Tennessee.
My mother in law has been at Terra Bella for about two months now and is very happy here. She is 93 and very aware and in tact. She can’t walk and we are working with physical therapy 2X a week to get her legs stronger,
They also do speech therapy and occupational therapy .
She has a studio apartment and it is very nice.
She says it is very homey! The facility is very clean and decorated well. Like home.
The food is great!!!! They have a lot of activities they do all week and travel all over in East Tennessee, for outings. They go out to lunch, have barbecues , had farm week, going to Dollywood.
They have a spa, a hair salon, devoutions seven says a week.
The staff, nurses, Drs. Are all very professional, knowledgeable and kind.
I can only say positive things about Terra Bella.
We are very pleased with the facility and the caring staff, and most of all my mother in law is happy.

Terra Bella in Athens Tennessee.
My mother in law has been at Terra Bella for about two months now and is very happy here. She is 93 and very aware and in tact. She can’t walk and we are working with physical therapy 2X a week to get her legs stronger,

I can only say positive things about Terra Bella.
We are very pleased with the facility and the caring staff, and most of all my mother in law is happy.

I will recommend TerraBella Athens highly. The staff is great! The employees that are on the floors daily genuinely care about the residents. The staff not only doesn't mind family being in and out and present a great amount of the time, but encourages it!

Review for Athens Place
We picked this community, because of immediate need of availability and price at the time, and the price increased the first year. It's close to where I live. Overall, the staff, meals, and nursing all need improvement. Not so sure I would recommend now.

Home away from home.
Great place and great service for yourself or your loved one. Residents and staff are one big family! The compassion, respect and dignity are amazing. From the resident care that is received, the home style of dining down to the activities that are done daily, Athens place is highly recommended in our area.

Satisfied, needs work
The reason I gave a 4 is because of the food. The meals are always cold when they are served, I go eat with my loved one 3 days a week so I have first hand experience. The meal times are chaotic too. Other than that, the facility is great. My loved one does not need a lot of care, but the care that she does get is great. They do have a lot of activities provided, but I think they could have more for those who have trouble with their vision. Overall, I would recommend Athens Place to others looking.

I would highly recommend it. They tailor activities for assisted living as well as memory care residents. The activities were fitting for the residents needs. When it's time for me, I will be going there. That is how highly I think of them.

We Loved It
I would recommend them. The only criticism I have is the crafts weren't a high enough skill level to keep my mom interested, and they didn't take the residents on any outings the whole time she was there. But everything else was fantastic!

The Right Solution and the Right Choice
If Athens Place had a motto it would be 'we take care of each other'. When I needed immediate help for my partner's placement in a facility with a Memory Care Unit, Athens Place was there with the solution. the willingness and kind assistance to facilitate his arrival. The entire facility is lovely and very well maintained and has a staff of professionals well trained in skilled health care who actually care about all the residents and their well-being. I have peace of mind that I made the right choice for my loved one's care and especially that he seems to like being there.

Athens Place is a Great Residence for Elderly Care
We had a loved one here several years ago, and another one now. It's a nice place. It's clean and has a good environment. I feel my loved is secure there, and well looked after. Everybody there is very friendly. They have a lot of long-term employees, with less turnover than other facilities I've been to. They're always asking me if there's anything they can do. My loved one tells me she loves the food. Because of Covid, activities have been difficult. But they're at least trying, and things are starting to open up more. The cost is high, but in comparison to everything else, it's right in line.

We toured Athens Place and it was a clean facility and residents seemed well cared for, but also seemed heavily medicated. It was extremely institutional and we did not get that homey feel. They were very aggressive with their sales pitch.

Elderly Care is Alive and Well
They're wonderful. There's a sense of security and peace knowing that your loved one is being seen to as a whole person and not just a person in a group. Their individual needs seem to be important. The staff is exemplary. They know your name. They recognize your voice when you call on the phone. And they make you feel important. It's very clean there, and there's a pleasant scent, which really struck me since a lot of time in care facilities that's not always the case. It feels like a well kept home. They're always responsive to care needs. There was one incident where my loved one needed some attention to grooming- some hair removal from the face and nail trimming. But as soon as I asked, they took care of it right away.

Happy with our experience
We chose Athens Place because it was a good value for your money and they said they were able to care for his needs unlike some others we looked into. The best part about the community so far has been their communication. They contact me about everything and are all very sweet and seem to be taking great care of him.

My experience with this community during COVID.
From our understanding our loved one has been well taken care of, but with COVID we have not been able to visit since April. At first we were very excited that we would be able to interact with our loved one through activities and eating meals, but since COVID we have not be able to do that.

Completely satisfied
What really stood out to us about Athens Place was how clean it was, the staff members were very friendly and they answered all of our questions. The activities on the memory care side consisted a lot of memory games and arts and crafts. The food was very good, there are a variety of rooms to choose from and they are all adequate in size.

Great Job Athen's Place
My Brother's and I had moved our mother to Tennessee back in Jan. 2020. Athen's Place was the first Place we checked into. The moment we placed the first phone call on our drive down to TN. We were greeted with warmth, you could hear the smiles in their voices. You could really tell that they cared about you and your parent even though they had not even met YOU ! When we brought mom in to see the place and meet the people they welcomed her with open arms. Mom was actually excited to move into Athen's. She told me "Sis" it does not smell like an old people's place." I agree with her, this is the cleanest, brightest, most Loving place I have been to. Starting from the top [names removed] and EVERY SINGLE PERSON who works there. Mom ([name removed]) passed away this august (she was happy because theses people genuinely loved her). They supported her in every way they could. She would always tell I am so happy to be here I don't ever want to leave. We have to win the lottery. I can't THANK the entire staff at Athen's Place for taking such good care on our Mom !
