Our experience
It wasn't a great fit. The people were nice but the turnover was high.
My parents location played a big part.. if you don't live in an ideal area help will be hard to find.

Highly recommend
We had a great experience with Synergy home care. The caretakers were great and it was not just a job for them, they earned my moms trust. I would just tell them what you are looking for and they will pair a caretaker with you who will work with what you need. I would recommended to others who are looking.

Stay Away from Synergy
I just signed off on the last time sheets for synergy last night. I'm relieved the 7mos with them are finally over with! [Name removed] the owner, her daughter [name removed] and the 2 caregivers [name removed] and [name removed] made my life a living hell for those 7mos. [Name removed] and [name removed] used the 7mos to try and get rid of me. They had the caregivers come in and pry into my personal business, asking questions constantly that they had no business asking. They eavesdropped on my conversations with friends who were visiting, when they weren't joining in on the conversations. My friends couldn't stand either one of the caregivers. They told me I should report [name removed] for snapping at me constantly, in front of witnesses, for constantly complaining about having to clean. [Name removed] even threw a tantrum in front of 2 of her supervisors and 1 of my attorneys. Her supervisors did nothing, that's why I didn't complain about the snapping. But I was embarrassed! Then there was [name removed] who didn't want to work either, she just wants to talk about how wonderful she is and how many guys are after her. She thinks she's a great catch! Both of these caregivers are too old, too physically unfit, too lazy and too incompetent for their jobs. The staff doesn't care what the clients need or want, they won't even consult the client before making changes. I would never deal with synergy again, nor would I recommend them. They also left me with no ride to the dr in an emergency. The caregiver who would have taken me was suddenly assigned to work with my neighbor across the street at the same time she used to work for me. I saw her car there every Friday, until I dumped synergy. Then the caregiver wasn't working there anymore. Talk about being cruel and thoughtless!

Making sure that the provider had sufficient caregivers to prevent failure
ALthough there were several very nice caregivers, one in particular was very good, the main issue was that My mom's home became a revolving door. there were so many different people and most of them had not been trained or monitored to know the routine and the requirements. So each new person would have to be taught by a separate person I hired who had been with my mom for a while.
Mom required 24/7 care . Scheduling was difficult for this company so mom never knew who was going to show up,. Eventually I required a schedule be provided. It was very difficult for my mom to feel really taken care of as she could not expect the same person daily. We asked to limit the number of new people. Eventually Mom did not do well as she was not getting cleaned properly and ended up in the hospital with an infection. After the hospital she was release for rehab in a nursing home, but within a couple of weeks, the infection grew worse and she died of sepsis. This agency was only there from 3 PM to 10 AM and then weekends.

I have only positive things to say on how Synergy Home Care Greenfield runs and operates their business. In all of my discussions/ interactions with [name removed] the owner; it is very apparent that her clients/ family members well being and safety of her employees is the number one priority. To put it simple, their main focus is on positive interactions with anyone they come in contact with.
Their attention to detail when it comes to filling out reports and investing back in the business are clearly seen through the results they are getting in the areas of safety for their employees and growth of their client base. This cannot be achieved without extreme passion and care for what they do. Well done team Synergy.

Great Agency
We have somebody coming on Fridays for 3 hours. The first time I met the caregiver she came to my Mom's with her supervisor. That was a nice introduction to the caregiver for my Mom. She has helped mom cook soup, calico beans and they have lunch together. She is always on time within 10 min or so due to her prior job. She has done laundry, washed dishes and actually washed my Mom's walls. I would recommend this agency.

A little pricey
We are no longer using Synergy HomeCare at this time. It was a little pricey and there were some snags along the way. They provided companionship for my mom but they often left the house a mess. There was one time a caregiver left the house before the next caregiver arrived to take over the shift. Another time my mom needed assistance and the care giver was sleeping. We know that mom can be forgetful and sometimes mix up the time frames but we always tried to verify that the events that happened were, in fact, true. We had a recommendation from someone who had used Synergy HomeCare in the past and it was a struggle to get mom to have any assistance at all. We are just using part time help now.

Disconnect...
I thought the people that came out and did the evaluation were very nice, all that was all fine but the disconnect came with what the management promised versus what the girls that came out actually did. The management promised things that the caregivers were not able to do.

So far, so good...
My loved one is doing okay since using Synergy. She had a caregiver that she really liked but unfortunately, she has to have surgery so my loved one is back to having different caregivers serve time. It;s been hard for her to adjust to strangers in her home, but they are helping her out and doing what they said they would.

Fair Match
I would say our experience with this home care agency was a fair match. It was a learning experience, but overall a positive experience. I would some there is some room for improvement, but the service my mother received was responsible. I would look around at some other home care agency, before returning back to this one. I feel my mother needed more care than they were able to provide.

Definitely a God send
Synergy Home Care has done a great job with my Dad! He really loves the caregiver and enjoys her cooking as well. There has been a bit of an issue with communication but since then we've gotten things corrected and things seems to be working out well! I appreciate the service they provide and so does my Dad. I would recommend to a friend.

Very Nice but didn't relate to the specified needs as well as they could have.
Hello,
I was able to briefly work with Synergy Home Care of Milwaukee County to find someone who could help my mother with some personal hygiene care during the week.
My mother fell into a gray area of needed care because she can care for herself in most ways but in other areas, such as showering or cooking meals, she needs assistance.
We met with Synergy to go over what we desired in an in-home care worker. My mother desired a worker that was more her age who could relate to my mom more. The first person they recommended was very young but very nice, and my mom liked her, but after the first week, she quit Synergy unexpectedly. Synergy quickly set up another in-home care worker but the second worker was also very young. Again, the worker was very nice and very helpful, but didn't relate to my mom as much as we would have liked. We eventually moved on with another company because of this.
I can only speak on our experience but I would suggest that Synergy Home Care might want to hire more workers that can better relate to the person they are caring for. This will help the patient feel more connected to the person that is helping and reduce any uneasiness.
Synergy Home Care as a whole was very nice, they just didn't match up an employee to my moms needs as well as they could have.
