Best choice I have made in a long time
The Stratford is a wonderful place to live. The staff and residents alike are very friendly and helpful. The food is good and they offer a nice variety

Very nice facility and spirit
Stratford Court is pretty lively... People are fairly social in the common areas. Facility is well kept and issues seem to be handled reasonably quickly for the most part. And staff is almost always cheerful even when they can't accommodate

Can’t say enough wonderful things about Stratford!
From the staff, who are kind, helpful, loving, caring, skilled and so compassionate, to the facility which is so clean, smells great, full of varied activities, attentive to the residents’ needs, to the wonderful and varied food selection that Dad says is great, Stratford is wonderful!
When we first brought our dad to Stratford, we ran into family members of other residents. They raved about everything above. My siblings and I said to each other “can this really be as wonderful as everyone says?” The answer is YES!
To all the families who are making this huge decision for their mom or dad, please know that you couldn’t do better for your loved one.

Kind and Caring Staff Thanks
I initially connected with [name removed] from A Place For Mom and we chose Stratford Court. [name removed] was extremely helpful!
I was helping a friend with this move-in process. She was young (61) so the fact that she was physically compromised was very difficult for her. Tragically, she passed away about two weeks ago.
Generally Stratford Court is a nice place, all the different levels of care they offer was a big part of the decision to move there. Many staff have been so kind including [name removed] director of customer service and receptionist [name removed] . She did not receive any nursing care or health services from the facility. My friend enjoyed cards, games, shopping excursions. Her apartment was newly re-done and up-to-date. Also, they are renovating other parts of the interior and it looks very nice.

Our Experience
Honestly, I would not recommend Stratford Court of Boca Pointe. For the high cost, l would look around. The meal plan is ridiculously expensive for a cold breakfast. The worst thing is the restaurant staff. Meals can take 3 hours. Staff cater to certain people and ignore others. A lot of money was spent on a long overdue renovation, but all costs were passed onto families.

I think it's a great place.
He seems happy there. The unit is very nice. He's adjusting to the meals in the dining room and he attends some of the entertainment and lectures. That's all I know. He speaks highly of it. My son in law visits him regularly every few days.

My siblings and I found an independent living home for our parents here at Stratford Court at the end of February. The sales experience was really good and everybody that works there seems very nice. My impression is that once you are in you do not seem as important anymore. Some requests and feedback I have provided over the months have been acknowledged but have not been carried out. I find that to be a little disappointing. The food is hit or miss but most of the times a hit. It seems like they are having staffing issues and it’s reflecting on their service and quality, I have also brought to their attention a few health and safety concerns which have been acknowledged, but not addressed. I find that to be very disappointing. If you are looking into Stratford Court for your family members, be sure you do the research on the insurances that are covered in order to take advantage of some of the in-house facilities.

Recommended
Medication management is handled very well. The residents line up and wait to go in the dining room because they enjoy the meals so much, as well as, the whole experience. Especially Sunday buffets and holiday celebrations. There are more things on the monthly and daily schedule to choose from than any resident could possibly exhaust. The staff is cordial and accommodating and truly care for the residents. The building and grounds are well maintained.

Great staff, happy residents
What more can you ask for? My mom was reluctant to leave her home of 30+ years but since Covid closed her community’s clubhouse and activities never restored to what they were before, we knew she needed socialization. She has a new lease on life now. The activities are plentiful and the people who live and work there are friendly and happy. They have recently renovated the hallways, they look modern and pretty, and lobby renovations are coming soon. It’s in a great location in suburban Boca pointe.

A wonderful community
I moved to Stratford Court after living in another Senior Living community for 3 years. Stratford Court is far superior in every facet of living. The total environment and culture is warm and caring. The staff from the top down are so caring. The Executive Director is hands on. He even leads a pool exercise group. He always listens to residents concerns. My life partner and I are very happy here. An Amazing Place

Would not recommend. Look Elsewhere!
My parents made arrangements to move into the assisted living building, Brighten Gardens, prior to my father's amputation surgery. My mother moved in while he was in rehab. Once in rehab he developed a pressure wound and then they were told that my father could not move into the assisted living building until he cleared the wound. As a diabetic with PAD it was unlikely that he would clear the wound anytime soon. At that point my mother realized that she was paying for assisted living she didn't need and it could be months before my father could move in to their new home, if at all. So the decided to move back into their condo, which they had already listed with a realtor. The staff at Stratford/Brighten Gardens were difficult at best considering they were not letting him move in and did not want to refund my parents any of the monies they had been charged regarding the care he had never received. We had to get a lawyer involved and they were only successful in getting them to agree to refund some of the funds after the lawyer contacted the executive offices of Sunrise Senior Living, who is the parent company for Stratford. The sales staff at Stratford/Brighten Gardens had absolutely no compassion for the situation my mother was in and were horribly unprofessional in their behavior.
