Everyone is friendly and helpful!
My parents were moving from an independent facility to an assisted living facility. Everyone at StoryPoint North Powell were very helpful in answering all of our questions and concerns. Everyone we passed in the halls all said Hello and had smiles on their faces. My parents have been there 5 months and have been extremely happy with the experiences they have had. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and supportive. Their favorite events have been the bingo games and the amazing race competition they had with the residents and staff.

I would recommend
My mother was in memory care until [date removed]. They charge a different rate based on the size of the room in memory care. My mother had a large room where she was able to have a twin bed, a couch, a recliner and a couple of sitting chairs as well as a dresser and chest of drawers. She had a full bathroom as well. The accommodations were great. They have hired an activities director specifically for memory care and they have another activities director for assisted living. There is a large variety of activities and staff does a good job getting the residents to participate. Activities in memory care include card games, puzzles, exotic food tasting, slushies, and a variety of crafts including a handprint t-shirt with the residents handprints. Memory Care has its own outside area which includes a flower and herb garden which the residents help to take care of. They will also periodically do activities outside depending on the weather.
The aids and nurses are wonderful. It was clear that they really cared about the residents and did a good job taking care of my mother. My only criticism is the turnover that occurs. As of [date removed], they were looking for a new director of Wellness and a new chef. Sometimes they are very well staffed with more aides than necessary and sometimes there are only two aides in memory care. However, that seemed to be improving.
The other thing that was improving was the food. The original chef, although he was a great chef, cooked many dishes that the residents were likely not to be familiar with. The current chef who was helping out from another location was more focused on comfort food which seem to be better received by residents. There is an excellent variety of food and the kitchen can do special orders such as cheeseburgers and grilled cheese if a resident does not like the menu.
My mother had been on oxygen. There were a couple of times when I looked over my personal camera and so she had pulled out the nasal cannula. I called and the staff was very responsive, even in the middle of the night, to go immediately to her room and replace the nasal cannula. I would not hesitate to send anyone to story Point Powell North.
My mother's room was cleaned once a week. The bathroom was always clean. Housekeeping didn't always do a good job sweeping behind her recliner or in those types of places but the main areas were always immaculate. Tables were cleaned and Floors mopped after every meal. The staff also did a wonderful job with laundry.

Review for StoryPoint Powell North
I love my MIL's apartment. One wall is windows. She has a patio door to the outside. We had looked at other apartments and this one had the best over all vibe. The place where her MD and related services are all within a short distance from StoryPoint. The workers assigned to her check up on her if she misses meals help her with laundry (she's too short to reach the dryer) and just make sure she's getting what she needs. They are recognizing my husband when he comes to get her.

Wonderful Facility
Lovely facility and firnedly staff always helping people. Weekdays are organized with great staff. Some weekends are low on help. Workin progress. Overall a wonderful place for memory and assisted living. Great entertainment like skin memory makes the residents so happy. Food is great. Frig needs cleaned in memory and floors in common dining. Overall a great place for loved ones.

Senior living challenge
The place is extremely clean and my moms living space is larger than most other nursing homes I have visited. She has a tiny kitchen area, large living room, and a decent sized private bathroom with a washer/dryer unit and nice bedroom. The staff is very friendly, however. The management is poor and sometimes it feels like pulling teeth trying to get help or answers to important questions concerning my mom. I think they are just very short staffed and the nurse aides come and go so you never know who you're going to get..some way better than others. The food is sub par and my mom doesn't really like about half of it. Again, like the staff, some are amazing and some are horrible! The place offers physical, mental, psychological ,and occupational therapies which are all great!!!! I guess the main reason why I only rate it a 3 is lack of communication from management, mediocre food, and the place is very expensive. For the money, I expected better. It's not horrible, and my mom is finally making friends and is accepting it but for the money, I just think certain things could be way better.

Great community with very nice staff
Everyone at the facility is very nice. Especially the day staff I do get to meet. We just have a problem with night staff doing regular checks every 2-3 hours. Some days they do great but many days/nights they never check on mom.

We're overall happy, but not entirely satisfied
Sales rep was extremely helpful. Key staff were made readily available to meet and answer questions.
The facility itself is lovely and very comfortable.
My parents like the meals. They had been concerned. So many residents we've talked with at many places complain about the food.
Contract therapists have been excellent.
This has not been a set it and forget it decision. I have to continually monitor and often intervene in their care.
They are understaffed, and the staff is a mixed bag. We're overall happy, but not entirely satisfied
