It is also close to skilled nursing and the Heber Valley hospital. After another hospital stay, Mom spent her last 3 weeks with hospice care in the Spring Gardens memory care unit, which was also much better than the place near her home. Alas, she never appreciated assisted living, though I suspected she liked Spring Gardens. She wanted to live alone in her home and wouldn’t admit it was good, but I loved it and would seriously move in there myself. My favorite off site activities include riding in a hot air balloon, pontoon boats on the lake, going to museums, riding on a float in three different parades. \n\nWe are learning to play Sudoku and they have puzzles set up for those who love puzzles. There is no reason to get bored but sometimes it is nice to stay in my room and watch TV.
