Father’s Day visit
I recently visited my father at Southern Pines, where he has been a resident for a year and a half, I can’t give enough praise for the Southern Pines staff for the job they do, [name removed] and her staff work tirelessly to make sure everyone is taken care of, it takes special people to do what they do every day and they surely are that. Our family sleeps so much better now knowing our dad is so well taken care of again thanks to Southern Pines and there caring staff.

Fathers day luncheon
My brother and I recently attended the Father’s Day luncheon and it was a great effort from the staff at the memory care facility. They really hustled getting food out to everyone which was very good. I know all but a couple of the staff by name and I have been very satisfied over the last year and half my dad has been there. Their attitude is always good. Thank You!

Great place for dad
My dad has dementia and I know he can be a bit much at times but I have to complement the staff. They all handle his different moods gracefully which gives me peace of mind.

Great place, friendly staff, residents are like family
This place is clean, orderly, engages residents in outings, exercises, games, etc. it’s just beautiful. The staff is like family and care about each resident. My husband gets wonderful care and is more active than when he was at home. He participates in exercises and other things they do at Southern Pines. I highly recommend them if you are needing a place to put your loved one that will be cared for.

It is aways awesome to see how well the staff takes good care of the people there. I love seeing the pictures they take and share with us. They keep them active so I believe their spirits are better knowing they are being taken good care of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs their loved ones taken good care of. And I also think it's nice how they celebrate so many times.

Thank you for the love and care
Mom began living in the Gardens building. During her time there she was involved in many activities & met wonderful new friends. When the time came for memory care, Mom moved to the Flourish building. She was well cared for by the staff. Eventually we had to have Hospice come to help. Everyone was loving and caring until the end. I am grateful for my Charter Living Family.

This is one of the best caring communities I have visited. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and attentive to my requests, answered all my questions and understood what I was looking for. Staff were very courteous and helpful.
Very clean and organized, residents were engaged in the assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.
I looked at their FB page, and they are always pretty much engaged in day-to-day activities.
The food looked very tasty, the dining areas were full. The rooms are very large compared to other facilities with actual walk-in closets; I was very surprised.

Review for Southern Pines, A Charter Senior Living Community
The staff is very helpful and busy. Sometimes it takes a while to get a response. My father and stepmother have adjusted well and have high praise for the staff and the facility. They enjoy the activities and have become regulars at bingo and happy hour. They like the location and have been transported in the facilities van with no problems. Southern Pines is located across the street from a lovely park and they are able to walk over and enjoy that space. Their apartment is much more spacious than any of the other assisted living facilities in the area. I think this is so important, especially for a couple.

They care about you and your family member that is going to stay with them and they show it. I asked GOD to guide me in my decision and HE confirmed my choice. When I went to talk to them they were listening to the KLOVE radio station which is a Christian station. And I also asked them if they read the GODwink books and they said yes. So I felt like GOD is with them like HE is me.

Staff are never around, you never see them.
Food is not tasty and seems to be cooked elsewhere and ready to heat for serving.

A beautiful picture was painted at the initial meeting. One rarely sees the decision makers and only lower level staff. The worker bees are nice but they are slackers too.You seldom see senior-level staff walking the premises to see what is happening. When one puts in work orders, they are ignored more months and likely perpetuity.

Caring daughter
The facility is light and bright. The staff has been friendly. My mom enjoys the activities. She appreciates having options at meal time. The laundry services are great. The staff puts her clothes away. Housekeeping is doing a good job.

So far they've been great....I would give them 5 on all of them. My dad was on a wheel chair when we brought him in....after about a month they have him walking now and my dad is very happy there and we would absolutely recommend this community to other families

Great community
My family toured many communities and when we left Southern Pines we just knew this was the place for our mom. We have been so happy and mom has really enjoyed meeting new people and being involved in the activities. Everyone has been wonderful and very responsive to any questions or needs that we have had which made the move so much easier.

Touring Southern Pines was a lovely surprise. The staff are friendly and interact with the residents. I've toured several facilities recently and Southern Pines is at the top of my list!
