Mom is happy!
Facility is overall good. Meets mom's needs. She's happy! Housekeeping has gone downhill. I've notice a smell of urine in one hall which comes from the individual apartments. Hallways should be vacuumed more often.
Laundry facilities are favorable. Clean and well kept.
Food is deplorable! Mom was served spaghetti with sauce, (no protein), mashed potatoes and a dinner roll! That is not a balanced meal. No fresh salads or vegetables. That's probably my only complaint. (I would like to remain anonymous!)
The Home Health Care staff is PHENOMENAL! I have mom in a one time a day visit. They're fabulous and communication is great.
Socialization is good. People are very nice.
Beauty salon is fabulous! So nice to have something on site! Very affordable too.
Grounds are well kept, clean and pretty. Very comfortable.
Mom is happy.

Mom is happy!

Excellent Service
Everyone at Solstice Senior Living at Plano has been wonderful. I can't to began to thanks the facility director [name removed] for always checking and walking the facility. The food is excellent, my brother love it. I have tried some of the lunching. It was delicious. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Solstice Senior Living at Plano review
I need hi-protein, low-carb. Because much of the food is hi-carb, I have chosen to eat most meals elsewhere. I am highly mobile and very involved beyond the Solstice domain, so I haven't participated in activities. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families. As a matter of fact, I have recommended Solstice to others. It is an excellent community.

Overall pleased
I don't know the newer staff to be able to comment very well. Most of the people I met early on are not there anymore. That said, everyone I met has been helpful and friendly.
There are no options available for special/restricted diets.... My mom has heart issues and has to be careful what she eats. She said there aren't always a lot of "heart healthy" choices and they do not accommodate any kind of special dietary needs...

Everyone at this facility is very helpful and friendly. My Dad is enjoying living here. He has people to talk to, activities if he chooses, and the doctors come to see him in his room. He especially having hot meals to eat.

An Excellent Senior Adult Living Center
The facilities are clean, neat, and up-to-date. The grounds are well-kept. Interior community spaces are excellent. This facility is administered nicely. Management does an excellent job of maintaining a refreshing place to live. I highly recommend it.

Great value for what you spend.
My only significant issue with the Solstice Senior Living at Plano community, is with their food. I wish they would have a low calorie or healthy choice on the menu. However, based on the experience we have had so far, yes we would recommend them to other families. Great value for what they charge

My brother is a resident at this facility. It's always clean when I visit. The staff is friendly and helpful. My brother says food is okay not excellent, but they're cooking like cafeteria! Of course it won't be perfect. It's a pretty good place. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

They need to work on maintenance of rented apartments, cleanliness of resident halls, food quality and friendliness of staff. It started off well. Then the Executive Director, Business Manager, Chef, and Maintenance positions all turned over. Right now, I would not recommend.

What sticks out most about Solstice Senior Living at Plano would be the staff - they are friendly, helpful and caring.

A Great Place for Your Loved Me
The staff is great. I liked the layout, and size of the community. The food was really good, but then they had a change in staff. They offered a lot of outdoor entertainment. It's good value for the money. They really made an effort, to get my loved one engaged in the activities. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

The community needs to offer fresh fruits and salads. The dining room and service is done well. My loved one is so happy! The staff is amazing! One thing, maintenance issues need to be responded to quicker and repaired properly.
I prayed very long and hard before moving my loved one into Solstice. Solstice was the right decision for us. My loved one is thriving!
It's a fabulous place!
You can do as much or as little as you like.
Very welcoming and genuine.
The community is small enough to where everyone will know your name and genuinely care about each other.
The staff is very attentive. I even received a phone call when my loved one wasn't feeling well. I greatly appreciated their concern. Excellent communication!
The on site care givers, if you need them, are fabulous!
My loved one is very happy and watched out for. That settles my heart so I can travel for work knowing she's in great hands.

Good experience
My mom is 90 and up until the last year or so was not open to living in a senior care facility. She made friends the very first time we visited. She loves having her own apartment and has made many friends and is enjoying the activities with her new friends. Very friendly and caring community. At 90 she is enjoying her independence and loves being at Solstice. I don't worry about her there.. which means everything to me and my sisters!

Good Community, Not Meeting All Expectations
I like the community as a whole. The food could use improvement for the residents. They need more selections for the residents to choose from. They keep repeating tuna or chicken casserole for dinner multiple times.
