Perfectly Content and Loving Life
Smoky Springs is a welcoming and happy community. It's my home away from home. I would give all the stars for happiness & healthy residents. I have enjoyed every day safely, comfortable, inviting community, the activities are fantastic. The resiliency of the staff to go above and beyond is unlike any other. I have enjoyed the dubious honor of being a resident here. The staff does not put things off, they take care of whatever need or issue immediately with grace, understanding and compassion. I live my best life here with a staff and community that support and gratefulness.

I love living here Hopelessly Happy
I have lived here for 7 years and in the last year it has been extra special. I enjoy the personal interaction with the residents,activities, and safety and security.
The staff is stellar

When I visited I was very happy to meet all the people here. The residents were friendly, the staff [names removed] are great and very understanding and helpful. We are so happy that we moved from another Community and I am extremely satisfied. My apartment is on the end and I’ve grown huge tomatoes and everyone has enjoyed the fruits of my labor of love!

The happiest community with great food
I can’t say enough upon entering Smoky Springs. It was bright, happy and inviting. [name removed]the Sales Manager, greeted us with a huge smile and a positive outlook on life. She’s a refreshing presence! She introduced us to the General Manager who was very busy, yet took time to greet and welcome us into Smoky Springs.
We had an amazing lunch with outstanding people. The residents at Smoky Springs are REALLY happy. It’s so nice to see people loving people.
The apartments were clean and neat! The housekeepers were on point. I did not like the outdated cabinets in most of the apartments. [name removed]was happy to help. She showed us a few that had been renovated and we loved the new white cabinets. Those are classic and stylist instead of 1985 looking farm style.
Overall even with the cabinets, this place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and I very much believe that they love their residents. A lot of people say it, I believe the staff at Smoky. The food was excellent as well! 10 ??

Stellar from the first contact
My first contact was with [name removed], and she answered all my questions, She anticipated issues with me moving from From Colorado Springs. She helped me pick the apartment. It was best suited for me and worked with me to pick an apartment that was within my budget. She was fantastic.

A Big Disappointment
They need more staff! They should have come through with what they said when they were selling me on this. Need more days to take you to the doctor. The laundry rooms have crummy washers and dryers and we only can use at certain times. Need to empty garbage more. Laundry room smells horrible.

Great place for retirement living - parents are happy
My parents cannot stop saying how friendly all the employees are. They absolutely love living at Smokey Springs. They love their Military Veterans.
My folks have a 1 bedroom. That has a larger living room with a smaller bedroom. Very comfy unit.

Our tour was great. The staff of the community that gave the tour were wonderful. We felt the community was not a good fit for our loved one, so we decided to go with another community.

A Rare Gem
My mom spent two long weekends at Smoky Springs as a trial. I had also investigated the facility prior to her staying there. The staff and residents are like one big family. The staff all say that it does not feel like a "job" to them. It definitely shows. The GM, [name removed], is a good communicator and follows up on needs or concerns. She's calm and caring, just an overall amazing person. The food is delicious, and the chef is skilled in preparing healthy but tasty meals. I have known of three residents who had to leave due to health reasons, and they all wanted to go back. As a nurse, I feel comfortable having my mother there because I know they really care about her. This facility is a rare gem these days for aging adults.

A wonderful life changing event for me
Smokey Springs has changed my quality of life 100 percent. I love having wonderful people to interact with and it is such a family feeling. The three meals provided are wonderful, but my husband and I had to back off on eating everything offered as we were gaining weight. I love the fact there is a doctor that we could use as a primary care availab!e who visits monthly. We love the area. Right at the foot hill of the north GA mountains and lake Lanier right here. We love it. With a small town feeling with all the amenities is a big city. The world class hospital eight around the corner is a bog perk. This has been the most amazing experience. We moved here in July right after a medical crisis with my husband and I had been disabled for years; we are now better and less stressed. The whole atmosphere is supportive and wonderful. As I have improved all of the residents have been cheering me on. The staff is wonderful. Our activity director, [name removed], is especially wonderful. They all are.

We are pleased with our selection of Smoky Springs.
The friendliness here is beyond what I ever expected. Every resident is very open and willing and happy to talk with and visit with you. For the most part, the staff is the same way, especially the manager, one of her assistants, and the chef. They are all very outgoing. Because of Covid, they're having trouble finding staff to help with transportation to appointments and things. And they're also having a lot of trouble finding staff to clean the apartments. So cleanliness has been a little lacking, although the dining area is in excellent shape. The food is very good. I like that they really concentrate on a balanced meal for our big meal, which is served at lunch. We can always depend upon having fresh salad and vegetables. They have a good variety of meat and fish. The activities are great, and very well-rounded. They offer activities that provide mental stimulation as well as physical stimulation. And I think it's a good value. Smoky Springs is not as expensive as some of the other places that we looked at.
