Safe Life
We picked this community, because of the rural setting first of all. We knew that it would make dad more comfortable. The staff seemed nice and the place appeared clean and did not smell!! It was a nice place. Basically clean and most staff was friendly and helpful. Watch out for the RN. I'd feel comfortable recommending this place but would be upfront about the less than desirable food, especially if taken to a room (always cold and late as they do those last). Otherwise I'm the realm of reality it would be suitable for my friend but they would know these things up front!!

We picked this community, because of the rural setting first of all. We knew that it would make dad more comfortable. The staff seemed nice and the place appeared clean and did not smell!! It was a nice place. Basically clean and most staff was friendly and helpful. Watch out for the RN. I'd feel comfortable recommending this place but would be upfront about the less than desirable food, especially if taken to a room (always cold and late as they do those last). Otherwise I'm the realm of reality it would be suitable for my friend but they would know these things up front!!

Their staff is very kind and accommodating. They could update the place a bit with fresh paint carpet and new furniture. Food is sub par. The staff communication with the family is good. There are three meals a day. If you don't like what they serve they have a regular menu the resident can order from. My loved one complains that the food isn't good. However my loved one complains about the food wherever they are. So I'm not sure if everyone else there agrees.

Mom is Doing Great
Mom is doing great at Rochester Estates. The staff are very good to her. Everybody is very caring and on top of her needs. They're always in communication with me. The facility is very nice. I have no complaints other than the food is terrible - it just needs more flavor.

I like it so much that I'd want to live here
Rochester Estates is a lovely place.
It has a small town feel; even though I think it's owned by a corporation, they've still maintained that small town feel. It feels like a community and a family while you're there.
My mom was originally there for a respite stay. I was traveling while she was there and I called her a couple times. During those calls she let me know that she wanted to stay and how much she loves it. She said she didn't realize how lonely she was at home. Now she's there! We signed an agreement for her to be a permanent resident, and we moved her furniture in. During her respite stay she had a nice studio that came fully furnished. Other places required us to bring our own furniture, which I thought would've been difficult for a short stay. Rochester showed us their 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments, but my mom really liked the studio that she stayed in. She said it was the perfect location and space. She really hoped that they allowed her to stay in that unit, because she loved it that much. We spoke to the director and they said she could stay wherever she wanted, and if she decided to move into a different apartment later on, she can. They were very accommodating in that regard.
My mom became a widow in 2017, so we got her a cat as a companion. Rochester allows her to keep her cat there, as long as she can take care of it. I truly believe that if they wouldn't have allowed her to do so, it would've been a deal breaker.

Independence, Safety and Caring Help All In One Place
My mom has lived here for almost 2 years. She needed a place that would provide safety and medicine reminders as well as help with household chores and meals. Her ability to have an apartment with her own furniture and belongings were a priority for her. Wyndcrest has met all those needs and then gone beyond our expectations. She has very skilled caregivers that she considers friends. They treat her like family, and they treat me like family too. It is a huge relief to know that she is in a safe and caring place.

Charming, caring, small community for your senior
We have been very happy with Wyndcrest Assisted Living. My mom has been here for a year and a half and it has been a great fit, it is a smaller community which is good for her. They have different levels of care from independent living to hospice.
The staff have been very good with my mom and have adjusted well with the covid situation. They have had no cases of COVID which is amazing. They are doing porch visits as long as the weather is mild, or you can do patio visits where you can visit through screened doors.
They recently had a change in administration, we have met her and the new nurse and they are great as well, we really liked them. It is a really awesome community and I would recommend to others.

Even if residents order off the menu the quality is poor.
Nothing is really fresh..mostly processed.
This has been going on for years.
Sad with all the land they could have their own gardens.

My mom's outstanding care
This is a great community for care. I like the staff who keep me informed on her progress. The variety of meals is healthy with a good choice that is available. I like knowing that she is active with the other residents. I feel that other families would be very happy with the care that is received and for the good value.

My sister is doing very well since her move to this community. Everything is working out very well, and I'am pleased with her move here. They are taking good care of her, and her needs. This is a community I would recommend.

Not what we were looking for...
The Wyndvrest was too much like a nursing home. My mother did not need much assistance and this place was more of an assisted living. Other than that, the staff was all friendly, but it was not what we were looking for.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They offer a nice variety of foods. They offer the regular menu along with the short order menu items to choose from. My mom really enjoys it. She calls it a home away from home. They treat her really well when she's there. The rate of the faculty is reasonable. Anytime we need to go out of town, we check with Wyndcrest to see if they have any availability, and usually they do. They are very accommodating.

Wyncrest is the best home away from home there is!
This has been the best choice! Tami, the ED has been fantastic in the way she has made Mom feel at home. All of the CNA's are wonderful with Mom and they really care. Mom has been there for about two weeks and she just told me again tonight that she feels at home and is very comfortable in her new setting. The food is good, they get mom to mix and mingle a bit (she is not a social butterfuly but they are working on that), when she needs assistance they are always right there. I and my sister are very pleased!

It's clean and the staff is friendly. The only complaint we have is the food, dad complains about the food. I've had it and it's not great, but it's not bad, they are working on it and they are aware of it. They have feedback with their residents, and they hear their residents. They were great! They took wonderful care of him.
They were great! They took wonderful care of him. Checking on him often. He was a hard guy to get along with but they handled him really well and he even bragged about them. He never complained about the meals. We were pretty happy with them. I felt like we were getting more than our moneys worth. He would sit in his apartment and look around and say he's never been anywhere this nice in his entire life. We've even referred other people there.
