My experience and interactions with Provident Memory Care have been great. I am glad A Place for Mom pointed me in their direction. I couldn't be happier. I mostly interact with the morning shift. They're very respectful and love to discuss my wife. They always answer or find the answer

Needs to be shut down
Zero on everything. My grandmother "fell" and laid in her blood for several hours before the staff checked on her at shift change. 3 weeks in hospital before she passed away. To my knowledge Provident is out of business. If not they should be. I had no experience with a nursing home prior to this. Do I didn't have anything to base it on. Grandmother past away year ago on May 5. In visit with other homes and talking with other people I choose wrong in placing her there. It was like other places I'm sure, they were a few good people on staff. I have no doubt those people were doing the best they could. Overall if it's not shut down it needs to be.

Exactly what I was looking for
I can’t say enough about the care my brother received from everyone at Provident. They were caring and helpful from day one. They went above and beyond to make it work for him. I am so grateful for them. And thanks to A Place For Mom for pointing me to Provident.

A Nice Community
Our loved one had a very short stay at Provident Memory Care so we did not get to experience much. However the staff members are very nice, friendly and accommodating. He seemed to be enjoying the meals they served, he never complained. Out of other communities we had looked out the value here was much more reasonable.

I don’t have anything or anywhere else to compare this too. I’ve never had any experience with a nursing home. The staff is friendly when I’m there. My grandmother hasn’t complained of mistreatment. I have not eaten a meal there. I have tasted food off my grandmothers plate.

Thanks, Provident Memory Care.
One of the most important things was to find a place for my father-in-law who had final stages of dementia and very serious health problems. They gave my mother-in-law the opportunity to stay in the room with him for free and were very helpful to all our family. In the last 4 weeks of his life until he finally passed he was treated with caring and dignity. I want to thank every single person on staff for taking care of them.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Tour the location: Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services: Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.

  • Know the Texas regulations for Assisted Living: Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you’re considering. Learn more about Texas regulations for Assisted Living.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Provident Memory Care

A Place for Mom has scored Provident Memory Care 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
