Hire Competent Administration
The nurses and aids that work with the patients on a day to day basis are fantastic. They alone deserve five stars for their hard work and dedication to the patients. However, they are severely understaffed. After several visits, it is apparent that they are understaffed. There are not enough hands to properly care for these patients. Speaking as a currently licensed clinician, there should be more staff in order to properly care for their patients; specifically nurses. Not only are their staffing ratios unsafe, but I presume that many facility acquired health concerns arise from this fact. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that the clinical staff suffers from being over burdened by what should be the work of many more licensed nurses. Having said so, it is evident that this facility's administration could care less; otherwise this would not be an issue. This role should be filled by an individual with medical or nursing experience. If they do hold any of these credentials, they should be ashamed of themselves. Poor staffing=poor care=injury/death=high turn over= no insurance reimbursement= state tags= being shut down. The math is not difficult.

Only a couple good apples
I am a resident and cannot seem to get the same care on the website or as other residents are provided. My wing and floor are grossly understaffed which causes the Very Few CNAs to quit or they are fired. It is no less than 2 a day that I am told that I cannot be changed right away because they're the only CNA on our side. I have asked to speak to the director no less than 5 times a day to no avail. My call light has been out for a couple of days now and I'm told they have a work order out yet fail to come check on my roommate or me regularly. I have to wait until someone is in the hallway and tell out for help and I am at the end of the hall. I don't get the PT as promised because they pull everyone off their jobs to do CNA stuff due to under staffing . This needs to be addressed and explains a lot about the low overall ratings of this place

Parkmoor Village unsafe
The care on the first floor is awesome for the most part. The CNA's are great and so is the nursing Staff. The Administrator is rude and fires most of the good employees. They treat some residents better than others. I have heard they pay the administrator under the table to care for a crazy guy in rm. 130 and dont report it to medicare. The upper floors smell like feces terribly and its crowded with lots of sick people. The crowd of people that live there are mostly uncared for. This place should be shut down. The best advice I can give is to avoid this place all together. If you know someone here, proceed to get them out asap.

Go somewhere else!!
They did not provide what they promised. They failed to take my mom to a very important appointment. Because of dementia, she was moved from the rehab floor to the memory floor (where she should have been put in the first place, I think they get paid more when patients are on the rehab floor). After a bad episode, they transferred her to the hospital for a psych evaluation. She had already been diagnosed with dementia, they knew that when admitting her. Then they proceeded to blacklist her to every nursing home in the Springs! They abandoned her instead of caring for her. They should have had staff that was equipped to handle dementia, that is what they promised!!!
